According to Frank Warren, Bob Arum received a big offer from "the Far East" to host Wilder-Fury III at the end of 2020.

Arum has staged numerous fights over the years in Macao, China. That could be the place.

Would be a huge global event!

Everyone not in the Far East could watch it in the late morning/afternoon.

    Sounds good.

AJ vs Fury isn't happening this year, Mark.

Joshua-Pulev is. And that's not a bigger fight. Nobody is talking about it at all.

And a fight for the World Heavyweight Title staged in China would most certainly be a global event.

    It's a classic old-school promoter move.

That's what they did in the old days. Find a country or a locale that wants to rehab its image or needs a boost nationally. The government offers a fortune. Everyone puts on a happy face. The fighters get huge purses.

China needs a boost and the govt. can control who attends, who doesn't, testing, etc.

    We'll see.

Five months ago, everything was different. Five months from now, everything may be, too.

As you quite rightly say Fury AJ is by far the bigger fight
However that doesn't mean the trilogy fight wont be big
Promoted well, with Wilder aiming for redemption and if in another country it will be big
I have my doubts its leaving the US but who knows
    Stranger things have happened

Wilder will starve to death in china

I don`t think they even know who Fury and Wilder are in China and I don`t think there were big PPV numbers in China for Fury v Wilder 2 either.
