Sometimes reading this forum is like listening to pals who ain't got a clue about fighting stating who would batter who in a street fight....

My prediction on prime Haye vs AJ is that.... They match up well and could be an interesting fight....?

Or Haye boxes on the back foot, doesn't commit but has the speed to keep out of harms way and loses rounds with AJ on the front foot not landing much....?

I think David Haye was better than is career at heavyweight showed.

David Haye’s biggest fault was he was lazy when he made the decision to move to heavyweight. He was taking the easiest fights and the easiest path to Wladimir.

If anyone has read the biography on David Haye. It says in the book he used Boxrec to find easy opponents with what looked like good records to boost his profile at heavyweight. It worked attracting casual fans, but real fans of today can see right through what he did.

If he would just of taking good fights like Povetkin, and Ruslin people might of looked back at him as a much better fighter.

Wlad was a seasoned vet with twice the experience Joshua currently has. Joshua is still very green and makes a lot of mistakes that Haye could capitalize on. Joshua may get there one day, but at the moment he doesn’t have Wlad’s timing or ring efficiency, which are what made Haye gunshy.

Another awful take yet again, you know absolutely nothing about boxing. No one agrees with any of your incredibly biased takes. You have an agenda. Joshua lives rent free in your head so badly.

Joshua probably has more in his locker but Haye's trash talk and pre fight antics could get to Joshua and give Haye an opening.

Haye and Booth decided early on that they just wanted to wrinse the sport for the easiest money possible

Personally I don't have an issue with it from a moral standpoint but I understand people who do

He just wasn't interested in 50/50 fights unless it was for big money

Prime David Haye spent a lot of time on his knees as if servicing Wlad when they fought. Surprised people didn't make more memes from that fight.

Ruiz got off the floor to win, Haye couldn`t even take a cruisers shot, Ruiz is a better inside fighter than Haye was and is a better body puncher, his guard is tighter also and he`s a come forward fighter Haye wasn`t as good coming forwards as Andy is he would have knocked Haye out.

Haye never proved he could take the hook from Whyte that AJ took and wouldn`t have been able to take the right hand that Wlad floored AJ with, Wlad and AJ went to war, Haye just played it safe all night, trying to throw punches from too far out.

Haye has speed and serious power. His counters would surely land on the stiffed out Joshua who predictably throws one twos most of the time. I am not so sure Joshua would be able to handle these punches. However, he has proven that he can recover from knockdowns so he might eventually outlast Haye and take him out in the later rounds. Still though, I am not so confident that Joshua will be able to survive to reach the later rounds against Haye’s speed and counter punching. It’s definitely an intriguing 50/50 fight. There’s no way in hell it’s a one-sided easy fight for Joshua as the thread starter suggests.

Had a thin resume at CW (where people seem to think Haye is an ATG there for some reason), then did little to nothing at HW as well. Are you guys i love with his freakin looks or something? By his Playgirl and be happy....

Or as a worse one if he'd have lost. No guarantee he was that much better than he showed, and his actions don't speak of a fighter necessarily that confident in his abilities.

I think Chagaev would have beaten him had they fought when that fight was announced, or at the very least given him serious problems that would have dented his chances of getting the Wlad fight on even terms. Povetkin in hindsight would have beaten him as well, and even fighters like Chambers could have shown him up.

His every action at HW spoke of a man who knew his limitations and was desperate not to get exposed before he could land the Wlad fight. In that regard I think his career was exactly as good as any of us could have hoped.

Haye's trash talk was awful. He always came across as trying too hard and the few moments of wit he came out with sounded like he'd spent all the previous night rehearsing them.

I think the laid back Joshua would have just laughed him off.

You could equally say Carl Thompson, Lolenga Mock, Jean Marc Mormeck and Monte Barrett say otherwise as well, and those are considerably lesser names than the above three.

Boxing predictions on forums to me seem like the people making them watch a 3 minute "highlights" of a fighter on YouTube and think he fights like that in every second of every fight.
