Byrd stood up to vitali Briggs and chisora walked through vitalis punches. I don’t think they were even wobbled and they must have caught about 400 punches each. prime for prime I have no doubt Tyson could have got under that jab and got to vitali. Tyson looks about 5 foot 8 these days though, vitali would probably Win by JTFO in a few rounds
I think Vitali would only comeback against Lennox Lewis. Vitali was very unlucky during his career when it came to opponents. Wladimir always managed to get the best opponents of that time. Vitali only lost 9 rounds during his whole career, and was never even knocked down during his career. That is something that will never be seen again at heavyweight. He was one of a kind.
Like Lennox, vitali is well set up, has nothing to prove from his career days and has a new role as a politician. Why come back to take part in a circus?
mmmm I would say he clearly lost 2 to lennox 3 to chisora 2 to sanders 3 to Byrd 1 to Hoffmann 2 to gomez 1 to arreola Hide won the first imho So about 13-15 rounds really and a lot is to do with competition standard
He stood up to him with his face. Byrd was getting pummeled before Vitali waved it off with his shoulder injury.
check the fight stats and get back to me. To say he stood up with his face is a joke. Byrd’s defence was unreal.
Vitali isn't, I suppose, **that** much much younger than Tyson, but the big difference is that his key attributes, namely size & technique, age far better than Tyson's [explosive speed]. It's highly significant that he was still making successful defences at the age of 41, this after having taken a longish break from fighting, whereas Tyson was a busted flush by his mid 20s.
good grief. He was throwing a lot more volume, Byrd started picking vitali off. How can you say Byrd was blocking with his face when vitalis land rate on Byrd was 26%? Byrd’s was 44%, 50% power shots, and vitali had only landed about 40 more punches Klitschko landed 132 of 502 total punches (26%) and 115 of 326 power shots (35%). Byrdconnected on 124 of 284 total punches (44%) and 82 of 163 power shots (50%) if anyone it appears vitali was blocking with his face and throwing A LOT considering he was injured
Vitaly is all wrong for Tyson but not when peek-a-boo worked at perfection. Prime Tyson was too fast, too explosive, too strong defensively for slow Vitaly.
Actually it is ten rounds he lost in total during his career. Just looked through it for the first time in years. Lennox 2 rounds. Chisora 2 round Sanders 1 round Byrd 2 rounds Hoffman 0 rounds were lost, not even one. Gomez 1 round Areola 1 round Hide 1 round Kingpin also since you added never won a single round. 0 rounds.
jose pasamar gave Hoffman a round so that’s wrong Cavarelli gave kingpin a round so that’s wrong. Could probably find more
