For sure, a lot of the fear factor is going to be gone now, when any opponent buzzez him they are going to go for it, and he's going to get ko'd several times imo. We will see how good old silver spoon is with his wheeling and dealing though because I expect he will want to keep AJ away from any live bodies. "Eddie, why did you drop one of the belts to face Ustinov instead of Usyk?" "listen, the belts are one thing, but we want to give the fans, our fans, the fights they want to see, and the demand for AJ-Ustinov, I just couldn't ignore it"
Of the current crop i'd say it was Callum Mundane Smith. Ryder beat him imho (close but 7-5 for me) in his last fight and his best win is against an injured George Groves. Ryder is good but nothing more. If he steps up and fights anyone elite or thereabouts (Canelo, Benavidez, any top LHW) he'll get taken apart.
I thought about putting him down but am unsure if I'm putting too much weight in his last Under performance. He certainly needs a good performance next time out if he's to match up to the hype.
Tyson Fury since his return hasnt beaten anyone decent. Fought a bunch of fighters outside the top 40 and 1 fighter with hand picked poor overrated record. Being made number 1 fighter in the divison on the back of beating Schwarz says it all.
I think he’s number 1 but not because of his CV, it’s poor outside Wlad and Wilder who was a glass-chinned fraud who never wanted to fight anyone.
I've read about it somewhere. Apparently there was an incident of it a couple of years ago on the interweb? The article I read though said only sad cases and bad Meffs would ever stoop to trolling a forum though? Surely no one here would do such a thing?
Agree 100% he is also widely regarded as the no1 168lb'er which he has nowhere near proved and is top15 p4p by boxrec.ludicrous.
I'm probably being a bit harsh but only so long he can live off a decent win against Groves. I think he needs to move on from Tesco Joe G if he is to improve - he's very one dimensional at the moment (as most of Joe's fighters are).
It is full of angel delight mate but I was having a spot of fishing with the 'worst' word - never got a bite from the target.
Ricky Hatton achieved more than 99.9% of Pro boxers and former pro boxers ever have, he had a brilliant career and helped get a lot of people into boxing, one way or another. He's not the greatest of all time by a long shot but he did great things in the ring. David Price is one of the biggest disappointments for me, he looked like an absolute monster, fights away from a World Title shot it seemed, a few years later he's rolling around on the floor getting bitten by Kash Ali, I never would have envisaged that pre Thompson.
