    Okay.

    I respect that.

I would argue that Calzaghe’s resume is of equal though.

The Dawson win is hugely relevant for me. Because on paper, that win is huge. And I’m one of Andre’s biggest fans. But I can’t give him much credit for the win, as Dawson had huge issues trying to burn muscle to make weight. I’ve spoke to his former trainer John Scully about it.

    Andre’s best SMW wins are:

    Froch
    Dawson
    Kessler
    Abraham
    Bika
    Green

His win over Carl was his best win in my opinion, as he beat Carl with ease, with a double fractured hand.

    Joe’s best SMW wins are:

    Eubank
    Woodhall
    Reid
    Brewer
    Bika
    Lacy
    Kessler

You could argue that Joe’s resume is better.

Eubank also has a very good resume.

Going by the voting froch is a top 10 lock anyway.

I feel the title should have been about Toney though haha

So why couldn’t they have beaten Carl?

    Because I think he's a better boxer.

    Couldn’t and wouldn’t are 2 different things.

Like George has noted, Carl struggled with Taylor.

He struggled with Groves in their first fight, before Groves lost his cool and started trying to outfight Carl instead of concentrating on his boxing.

    He went 1-1 with Kessler.

He should have lost to Andre Dirrell.

Saying that Watson and Liles couldn’t have beaten Carl is ignorant and based on nothing.

They would both have had a reasonable chance of beating him.

    Anyone can beat anyone.

I wouldn't favour those two over him.

You said there’s no way they’d have beaten him.

That was a silly comment to make.

Did you just give froch a chance to beat James toney via pressure? Have you ever seen toney vs Barkley my dude? Toney would have murdered froch talent gap is immense

Yeah but there's also the fights with Tiberi and Thadzi. Toney blew hot and cold and could be out worked by a bigger man.

Ridiculous. Watch the Barkley and Williams fights at 168. It seems like you have a little catch up to do.

I've already seen them tbh. Do you have any other Toney fights you recommend, I'll let you know if I've seen them or not.

Luckily the fights are labelled so it's quite easy to tell what I'm watching tbh.

What other fights do you recommend, I'll tell you if I've seen them.

The fights I've seen of Toney suggest he's quite inconsistent and you never know what version will turn up.

The very best Toney beats the very best Froch.

But there are real life versions of each fighter where I would favour Froch to do the job.
