Khan mostly tries to dominate his opponents on the outside. If feel he got outboxed by Crawford because Crawford had a much superior height and reach than him. He does tend to struggle against opponents on the outside when they have a much superior height and reach advantage. He likes to dominate fights on the outside, but when his opponents have a much greater height and reach, his outside game goes completely out the window. That’s the reason I feel he completely got outboxed by Crawford.

I feel that’s the reason Chris Algeiri also troubled him.

Plus Crawford boxing style is different from Mayweather’s counter punching style. Crawford isn’t a counter puncher. I feel Khan’s boxing style was wrong for counter punchers with weaker power.

Floyd wasn't only a counter-puncher though and you're assuming he's as one dimensional as Khan is. This is a big flaw in your argument, that the fight would pan out with both boxers executing a certain fight plan. Mayweather would have adjusted to the openings provided.

You don't counter-punch as Khan is engaging to find his chin anyway, you time him as he exits from one of his very predictable flurries. So you don't have to punch with him.

Floyd's shoulder roll defence would negate most of these flurries - admittedly after a couple of rounds to adjust to the speed which was incredible - and as Khan exits back in a straight line (his feet weren't as good as you claim or he'd have learned to exit left or right) with his lazy hands (something he's never addressed either) and he'd be wide open. And let's not forget, Mayweather wasn't a fast combination puncher but his right hand was and he had a long reach for his height. Factor in ATG timing and he'd find a home.

He'd also start to land that right as Khan was setting to attack... he did that to many opponents by giving them different 'looks' to break their rhythm and then pounce.

But they key to this fight is adjustment. Floyd would have. Khan never did.

Now had they fought over three rounds as amateurs, I'd favour Khan. But over 12 rounds? Not gonna happen...

Fans wants Floyd to fight Khan but Floyd ducked Khan and chose Maidana as an easy fight. But Floyd was beaten by Maidana. Although Maidana beat Floyd since he failed to knock out Floyd in his backyard he lost the fight.

The fight should have happened. Lots of boxing pundits and former boxers have said that Khan’s style would have troubled Mayweather. Paulie Malinaggi, Roy Jones Jr, Ricky Hatton, Oscar Dela Hoya, Johnny Nelson etc.

Styles make fights and Floyd would knock Khan out. It will be similar to Crawford against Khan apart from Floyd is even more accurate than Bud who can sometimes be a bit wild. As Uncle Roger Mayweather of blessed memory use to say “what people don’t understand about boxing is that speed don’t mean ****, it’s skills that matter that what boxing is all about skills”. Mayweather is so much more skilled than Khan and think what happened to the real fast guys Floyd faced like Mosley, De La Hoya, Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell to name a few. Now we do know Amir Khan’s boxing intellect/IQ is low, we know he makes mistakes in the ring and he has no chin so I think it’s clear he gets stopped by Floyd.

Khan style is so wrong for counter punchers is it? Well we saw that theory totally exposed in his fights against Danny Garcia and Canelo Alvarez with brutal knockout defeats.

So bloody what! Lots of boxing pundits and former boxers thought Wilder would knock out Fury despite the obvious eye test that Wilder is a terrible boxer with lack of fundamentals just power.

The fat around his midsection should help with absorbing shots.

It’s the chin that’s the issue.

Khan completely outboxed Zab Judah and knocked him out. None of Zab Judah, Dela Hoya or Mosley were as fast as Khan

Don’t understand why there’s zero respect for Khan. Earlier in his career he completely outboxed some good boxers. Paulie Malinaggi, Zab Judah, Devon Alexander

    Nope.

Khan makes too many defensive mistakes. His speed might mean he takes some early rounds but once Mayweather gets his timing, it's lights out.

He’d have won more than a few rounds.

It would have been a difficult fight for Floyd towards the end of his career.

Floyd was a safety first fighter with hand issues.

He liked to pot shot guys who were significantly lower.

Canelo didn’t even try and walk Floyd down. He stood off of him and was over cautious.
