Two type of fighters Mayweather stayed away from,
    1. Relentless high volume punchers.
    and
    2. Fighters quicker and or faster than he.

Amir Khan qualifies as the faster fighter and you can add to that he had pretty much the same physical characteristics to Floyd as far as height and reach.
When Mayweather looked at the possible matchup with Khan, he thought to himself that Khan was the faster fighter, and he also thought that pulling straight back and shoulder rolling isn't quite as easy doing it vs a fighter he doesn't have a height and reach advantage over.

You should direct this question to C.J. I think it obviously depends on if Margarito is wearing loaded gloves or not though it might not need to be loaded for Khan’s glass jaw.

Mayweather fought and beat a lot of high volume pressure Relentless punchers. In fact he made a career out of it. He also beat a lot of fast boxers including those who were faster though hardly many were faster and he was quicker than all due to his mind..

I would probably edge towards Floyd winning a competitive but clear UD against Paulie, prime version vs prime version that is. Something in the region of 8-4 for Floyd. However, I do feel Paulie's slickness would cause him fits at times.

Hed have problems for a couple of rounds, slowly adjust and wind up dominating towards the end. A late ref stoppage wouldnt surprise mw either.

8 rounds to 4 UD in a competitive fight that he wins decisively in the championship rounds.

My guess would be that Mayweather loses the first few rounds, and the adopts a similar style as he used against McGregor, wearing Kahn down...

I absolutely think an upset could be possible though. 30% is my guess.

Nothing a slickster fears more than a fellow slickster and nothing a speedster fears more than a fellow speedster. Ditto for my people ie. gypsies aka real fighting men. The last thing I wanted to see in the opposite corner to me when I was tearing up the European amateur circuit was a fellow gypsy standing in the opposite corner.

Khan is not sleek he is just fast with a low ring IQ. How dare you compare Khan to real fighting men like Gypsies? Your cousins Tyson to Fast Fury and Billy Joe Saunders have great chins not like Khans which is full of glass.

I suspect 11-1 as we might give Paulieca sympathy round at 147 Pounds but at 140 pounds it will be an execution like the Gatti fight.

Difficult to see Khan winning rounds. Would look like Crawford vs Khan.

Malignaggi would have given Floyd problems. Pacquiao ducked Malignaggi in 2009.

Now I've read everything. Malignaggi got his ass kicked every time he stepped up. Pacquiao would have knocked Malignaggi out.

Pacquiao ducking Paulie is one of the craziest boxing things I've heard.

ANY VERSION of Pacquiao beats the ever living **** out of a prime Paulie — the one that got sparked by Singsurat to the current 41 year old version to the future 43 year old Pacquiao in his farewell fight to the one in the casket being paraded through the Philippines 45 years from now.

How can you compare Conor McGregor to a pro fighter like Amir Khan?

He’d never had a proper pro fight.

He’d never fought for that long.

He’d never fought at that pace.

    He was absolutely exhausted.

Floyd stopping a tired and inexperienced MMA fighter isn’t evidence that he’d have knocked out Khan, on the grounds that Conor was bigger than Khan.

    That’s silly.

It’s just a completely different fight altogether.

Floyd had hand issues and hardly stopped anyone during the final stages of his career.

He was a safety first fighter who liked to ‘pot shot’ slower guys.
