Addressed that in my edit above. Announced, yes, but I don’t think it was scheduled.

The impression I got from the Holmes-LeDoux broadcast was that Larry said he had signed the contract (I presume Ali too since he was there in a ringside seat leading cheers and chants between rounds) and that the only obstacle was Larry had to get past Scott and it would go forward three months later in this well-known city.

Nor me, apparently he at one stage he put his elbow in the Frenchman's throat and Carp couldn't talk for a week.

The answer to mine (where was Holmes-Ali supposed to take place): Cairo, Egypt.

Ok, let's try a question where everybody can play:

Make the shortest connection between Jimmy Wilde and Primo Carnera.

    Wilde > Villa > McLarnin > Leonard > Lewis > Carpentier > Loughran > Carnera

Good try - but there's a shorter way.

    Carnera > Stribling > Boorde > Moore > Mandell > McLarnin > Villa > Wilde

Looks like I can't beat 8, but I'll keep trying!

So George is the only one, who wants to give this (Wilde to Carnera) a shot? Really?

Oh I think I found it BTW.

    Carnera > Stribling > Boorde > Moore > Herman > Wilde.
