Unfortunately Britain loves a loser, that's why people like Whyte they think the man is so hard done by, fact is if he was as average at any other job as he is at boxing he would risk being sacked. Why are people so obsessed with him ?yes he will fight anybody yes he can take a punch, but have you actually studied his style , I have it's f@#king terrible, terrible jab, no power in the right hand, terrible terrible movement, goes back in straight lines ,never feints, he is just a bang average big lump as soon as he fights Joshua again or fury , wilder he will lose because technically he is shocking, I honestly think a fit povetkin us going to make him look stupid at times, I wouldn't at all be surprised if dubois sparked him now even after a handful of fights.
A nice story, though completely fictional. Mason was knocked off his bike in the morning. He was out cycling to get fit because he had just got a grant to start his charity.
Twelve quid. Jesus i need a ventilator, last time i paid i am sure it was £3 and you got a coke and a bag of revels... Thank the lord for the cheaper alternative!!
I watched the AJ v Whyte pre fight build up and the fight itself again last night and noted the absence of Dean Whyte (Lemar Scott) in Dillian’s entourage. When exactly did Dillian’s big brother come into the picture?
I'll watch it for free and I'll enjoy. Can't wait for decent boxing to come back. No crowd doesn't bother me. The UFC action has been just fine without it. Once a big shot lands it's game on.
We won't get any decent world level fights until 2021. Boxing is going to be so **** until we get crowds
Personally if I’m throwing in my two pennies worth. Got no problem with Dillian headlining PPV’s would have spent £100+ on a night out on a Saturday. With this I’m spending £20 plus £10 on beers and £10 on food. He’s primarily always brought entertaining fights. AJ, Parker, Chisora but less so with Rivas. 3 out of 4 ain’t bad. I enjoy watching him as he always has me feeling it’s going to end at any minute either with him or the opponent being knocked out. He’s putting his mandatory status on the line in 50/50 fights which is fair play. If he loses he loses £15+ million and deserves reward for that. I don’t think he is a heavy favourite against povetkin. If it was me in his shoes or 90% of other boxers they would be taking the Pulev or Charr route. Without a doubt. Yet we bash Dillian. Only gripe I have had is that the undercards should have been more stacked. Don’t mind the fighters on them in Buatsi and Okolie etc. But would prefer a few more 50/50 fights. however if DAZN want to swallow the fees up for me and I end up paying £10 a Month I would be delighted. But tbh I don’t mind paying the extra to see Dillian in a scrap. Would prefer to pay less and scrap golf and F1 from my subscription. to me if Lance Stroll is being paid $3m to race for racing point in formula one. Whyte is worth a million quid getting punched in the head
Although I do honestly believe as a boxer who believes in themselves. my actual opinion on this is that I believe Whyte felt he had the beating of Wilder. I think he thought he would be paid £5m for that fight. And then hold the cards to the AJ unification. Which at the time was a £50m fight. If that was the case he would have got the 5 for Wilder plus probably 40% of the AJ fight at £20m. In the interim he could get a million to fight a Sky PPV against Rivas in a winnable fight. On whites part it was a good plan. But Ruiz and Fury our an end to that. However he is still in a great position. As one of those two still have to fight him at some point unless they walk away. The purses have gone up and therefore he would like still get £20+ for a fight against those guys. If they vacate he becomes champ and he will be paid top dollar. he also knows the AJ rematch is on the table at any point for £2-7m minimum even as a voluntary. it was actually a fairly smart move. Providing he keeps winning. if he loses he has still made good money and has an AJ rematch down the road
Mason had recently lost one job as a hospital security guard. I know he made some bad investments after he was forced to retire but he earned peanuts compared to Whyte, Chisora and even the likes of Price and Allen. Very sad.
Yes it was old man. https://road.cc/content/news/53669-...-gary-mason-while-cycling-was-due-accident-or
