    Stop with the nonsense.

Andre Berto had lost to Guerrero and Ortiz.

So what had he done to get a fight with Floyd?

Khan was far more deserving having beaten Maidana and Alexander.

We both know why he chose Berto.

Berto was a nice safe fight.

Smaller reach, slower and less aggressive.

You can’t have it both ways.

You can’t say Khan had done nothing to warrant a fight when he chose Berto after he’d fought Maidana.

When you do things like that, you are opening yourself up to be criticised.

I know why he chose Berto and so do you. And okay, he’d had a great career and he could chose a safe option after 48 fights in his late 30’s. No problem. But the criticism is justified.

Alexander beat Maidana two years earlier. In retrospect Broner was ridiculously overhyped going into the Maidana match which made what happened to him so shocking. Who did Broner beat that made Maidana's win over him so important that it warranted a Floyd match? It was simply Broner's connection to being seen as Floyd's "little bro".

Before Broner fought Maidana he barely got a split decision over Paulie Malignaggi in a match that Paulie outworked Broner outlanded him by a mile and Broner pretty much got a gift decision.

Khan would have some good success for 4 or 5 rounds similar to Judah but once Floyd starts to time his speed its down hill from there and Khan likely walks into a well timed right hand down the pipe.

    Another silly post.

I’ve never said that Khan would have beaten Floyd. I don’t think he would have done. All I’ve said all throughout the thread, is that I think he’d have caused Floyd some problems.

Again, Floyd knocking out an MMA fighter can’t be used as evidence to support a theory that Floyd would have knocked Khan out.

McGregor was bigger than Khan, Floyd knocked him out, therefore he’d have knocked Khan out too?

    That’s casual fan logic.

    It’s stupid.

It’s the US PPV that counts the UK PPV is just a bit of extra gravy.

Speed kills but it also pays the bills, Olu. What happened when the speedster faces someone with much more speed than them? Answer: The killer becomes the killed.

Floyd's fast and he has those mongoose like reflexes, but Khan's hands are a blur and there isn't a mandible section born from their mother who Khan can't light up with those freakishly quick hands of his. Even if Floyd pulled it off he would be getting lit up something terrible all night because when Khan lets those hands of his fly the target is getting hit repeatedly and I don't care how slick or how proficient they are at the art of avoiding getting hit. You only find that kind of speed Khan possesses in the animal kingdom.

Believe it or not, prior to getting clocked by that savage HL reel Clebuterol bomb from hell from a 190lb Clenelo, Khan actually had a very stout set of whiskers. They might not have been Gypsy Level stout but he could still take an almighty whack on them.

Berto did nothing. The point was Mayweather could choose his last fight vs anyone he wanted. It was his last fight so yeah he could choose how he wanted to go out.

He didn't owe Amir Khan anything.

Khan got 600,000 PPV buys vs Canelo. He would have got a million buys easy vs Mayweather. Maidana got 900,000 buys in his first fight vs Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather got 400,000 PPV vs Berto.

In addition to the US PPV, Mayweather vs Khan would have got over a million PPV buys easy in the UK

Paul Spaddafordada's slickness allowed to win every round against Floyd during that infamous sparring session and he won them big too. Paulie's slickness should be enough for him to take 3 or 4 off Floyd.

It all adds to the total revenue.

The U.K. revenue would have been a significant amount.

Also, I think a Floyd-Khan could have done more buys in the U.S. than what Maidana did.

True but the point remains that Maidana became the WBA champion.

You don't think if Khan actually held a belt at 147 his chances of getting a Mayweather fight wouldn't have increased.

The fact that Amir Khan had to rely on his fans spamming a poll to get a fight says it all.

If you remember before that Algeri fight Khan was saying how he was going to beat him better than Pacquio did and how a dominant performance was his best change of getting a Mayweather fight. Well Khan failed that audition.

Based on what? I'll add the rematch was done in the September and that particular year Ramadan was then so Khan wouldn't have been able to fight then anyway.

I didn’t say he did. But there’s no point saying he did nothing to warrant a fight when he went and chose Berto afterwards.
