It’s sad but inevitable that Sky have gone done this route but financially the days of big fights on regular Sky are over. The next contract is rumoured to have only ten Sky Sports dates per year with the rest on PPV. Get used to near monthly PPVs on Sky especially in the current climate where making any sort of return will trump putting up big rights fees in advance.

Less PPV mugths will be around as their money will be required to buy consumable puddings from Tesco.
