    I distinctly remember it used to be regarded the same way the National Enquirer is over here across the pond (or thereabouts, nearly as ridiculous)...but somewhere along the way it shed a bit of that reputation and is now semi-respectable? Is that because of the UK skewing right over the years?

    Because there are more recorded fighters in 70s than 50s.
    Boxrec ranking system favors modern fighters as the records are complete compared to older fighters

    That isn't even BoxRec's system. Even they have Moore above Hopkins pound for pound. (with 1,391 and 1,066 'points' respectively)

    I have no clue what formulary was at work here, or what rock they kicked over to find it. :nusenuse:

    Totally irreputable crap.

    Put Floyd in the 30s or 40s and he wouldn't even get a title shot, and would quit boxing because his hands wouldn't hold up fighting 20x a year
