Wow the alphabet orgs really have some odd entries. Boxing monthly and Boxing news have the best I can find. https://www.boxingnewsonline.net/rankings/ https://www.boxingmonthly.com/ratings/ This is BM I’m going with that: 1: Tyson Fury (GB), 30-0-1 2: Anthony Joshua (GB), 23-1 3: Deontay Wilder (US), 42-1-1 4: Andy Ruiz Jr (US), 33-2 5: Dillian Whyte (GB), 27-1 6: Oleksandr Usyk (Ukraine), 17-0 7: Luis Ortiz (Cuba), 31-2 (2NC) 8: Joseph Parker (New Zealand), 27-2 9: Oscar Rivas (Colombia), 26-1 10: Kubrat Pulev (Bulgaria), 28-1
Champion: Fury 1. Wilder 2. Joshua 3. Ruiz 4. Whyte 5. Usyk 6. Hunter 7. Povetkin 8. Parker 9. Ortiz 10. Joyce This is not who I think wins head to head, merely who I think ranks by accomplishments. At the end of the day, Wilder's only loss is to the person who I always held as "the champion". Joshua is current and unified but how he lost is a glaring flaw. Whyte's resume is great but I will not rank him above the former longest reigning champ, or the current and former unified champs. I think Usyk and Hunter are better than their rankings but Usyk hasn't done much (yet), and Hunter's loss to Usyk will always keep him just behind Usyk. Povetkin is at the tail end of his career although still capable. Parker hasn't looked very good in a long time, Ortiz got slumped twice and Joyce, although I'm not a fan, no one has stopped his forward progress yet.
1 - Fury 2 - Joshua 3 - Wilder 4 - Whyte 5 - Parker 6 - Ortiz 7 - Ruiz 8 - Dubois 9 - Chisora 10 - Povetkin
I change my mind on this a lot, but at this moment 1) Fury 2) AJ 3) Wilder 4) Ruiz (I mean, he could be lower if we're choosing the Ruiz in the last fight) 5) Whyte (as above) 6) Hunter (I thought he beat Pov) 7) Parker 8) Povetkin (insane that he's still in the top 10 at this stage of his career really) 9) Joyce 10) Helenius (I think this guy is ass and that Kownacki beats him in a rematch, but he got that W so fair is fair) The last few spots on that are hard to do. It's a division with lots of interesting fights and some very good fighters climbing the ranks but it's also pretty lousy too. I was going to include Ortiz but I think that second KO loss will have taken a lot away from him, and has been a while since he beat a live guy. Didn't include Usyk this time out just as he hasn't fought properly at the weight. I would guess he'd be in the middle area if not, by virtue of his W over Hunter
He absolutely did, but: 1. Wilder looks awful against everyone 2. Fury was IMO the #1 HW already so how much should a long reigning champ (no matter how dubious their reign) be penalized for being dominated twice by someone expected to beat them, when that someone is also already the Alpha male in the room? I concede Wilder and Joshua could be interchangeable on my list though, but I had to pull the trigger on one.
Dubois, Chisora and Ortiz all above Povetkin I strongly disagree with. Dubois and Chisora shouldn’t be in the top 10 either for that matter.
