Something we all love doing on this forum is tearing apart what is realistically quite a good boxing record. 'Well X was past prime, Y was really a bum and Z was a robbery"

It's doable to just about any record out there, tragically. So let's see how creative we can all collectively be.

    Ground Rules

    One at a time, please
Attempt to provide at least some justification. Nothing ridiculous like labeling a fighter that is obviously world level as being domestic product.
Once you've diced a record up, leave a name at the bottom for the next poster to have a try at
You are only to dissect the resume of the fighter above you; no dissecting of dissections

I'll give you one to start with.

    Oscar De La Hoya.

Dorsey, Paez and Molina were all too small. Ruelas was glass jawed. Leija's entire reputation is based off beating (and losing to) a shot Nelson. Chavez was shot. Garcia had a very padded record.

Lost to an old Whitaker. Camacho was shot. Chavez was even more shot. Should never have beat Ike. Carr was good, but there's a reason he never won a belt. Vargas was Tito's leftovers. Campass was Santos' leftovers. Couldn't even beat Sturm. Mayorga had already been made mincemeat by Tito, and couldn't even beat Cory Spinks 3 years prior.

Does this mean De La Hoya had a bad résumé? Nah, it means that's it really easy to have an agenda.

Joe Calzaghe.... best two wins at the end of his career - Jones, Hopkins - and the best win at its beginning (Eubank) had a combined age of 113...

If you were under 30, Joe wasn't interested...

Harry Greb was from the 1920s, so his competition automatically sucks.

Bruh.... his best individual win (prime Kessler) is a better victory than any victory on Floyd Mayweather's CV.

Little known fact, Kessler put the wrong DOB on the fight contract*

*But yeah, I know..... just aimed my dart at bullseye and hit the 25...

    OK let me try......

Sugar Ray Leonard only beat a fat unmotivated Duran who walked out the ring.....

Beat a weight drained Tommy Hearns and somehow got a draw in the rematch...

Beat Hagler once he was a shadow of the man he once was.......

Beat Benitez who only trained for 9 days....

    Anyway the above is irrelevant.

One of my favourite fighters of all time, arguably top 10 p4p Sugar Ray Leonard.

Boxing fans are hell bent on destroying their own sport. Oh there was a big fight and a great win? Let's try to devalue it as much as possible. Time and again, can't you fools just be fans instead of always trying to shred everyone's resume? I can only wonder why fighters don't want to fight their rivals and instead hold out for big money fights only. If they fight for their legacy, you knuckleheads will just try to rip it up every chance you get. Shameful.

A bunch of Negative Nancy's on this site.

No one really followed the chain and gave you a real answer so I'll do it:

Sharmba Mitchell - Hmm, it's Sharmba ****ing Mitchell

Guerrero - Mediocre champion. Poor resume.

Berto - A never was. Was even past it for the Floyd fight.

Baldomir - A flash in the pan. Slow as molasses. Floyd had the audacity of running from this featherfisted, C level fighter like has fighting Mike Tyson.

JMM - Zero credit. Cheated him on the scale.

Mosley - Shot to pieces. Had to hang on to his arms for dear life to avoid a KO.

Gatti - C level fighter like Floyd himself said.

Victor Ortiz - Glass chin, glass heart. Sucker punch finish.

Zab Judah - 0 heart. Lost to freaking Baldomir.

Hatton - Referee disgustingly helped him by keeping Hatton off him. Had already lost to Collazo at 147.

Oscar - Shot and still gave him a tough fight. Oscar beats him in his prime.

Maidana - was deathly afraid of getting KO'd so he made him wear pillows. Struggled mightily to defeat a man that lost 12-0 to Alexander and couldn't KO one of the most glassed chinned fighters ever in Khan. Took more damage than he dished out. Got caught by a huge punch in the second but the bell rang just in time.

Cotto - Had already been massacred by Pac and Marg yet gave Floyd a tough fight. Floyd fans tell me any fighter beaten by Floyd is ruined so not much credit for whoever beats them next like when Hatton got KOd in two by Pac.

    Canelo - Green.

Pac - USADA was in his pocket. Let him cheat. Pac had a bad arm.

    Corrales - Drained

    Castillo - Was robbed

    Next one, Marvin Hagler.
