ODLH has faster hands than Floyd, not even really debatable.

This is a joke. ODLH would wipe FMJ down. Absolutely take him apart like a praying mantis, piece by piece. Prime FMJ - who was unfairly allowed to be on seriois fuel - so a prime and juiced to the gills Mayweather got taken to the brink by a way past it Hoya. Early amd prime ODLH was a beast, would have the hand speed advantage, flat out almost every advantage. And that left hook? Hoya threw a beautiful, fast, crisp, but mechanical left hook. Mayweather's checking out early if he catches too many Hoya left hooks.

When will you learn that throwing faster combos doesn't equal faster hands and the ability to throw one shot fast an accurate is more useful in a boxing match. Pbf had always had faster hands than oscar quicker reflexes getting off first and reaction to punches. Pbf would always beat oscar to the punch and be gone before oscar can do anything more times than not. Oscar's slow feet compared to pbf is also worth noting. Remember lesser boxers than pbf beat oscar and oscar never beat anyone on pbfs level. Oscar is a boxer puncher you're not outboxing pbf beating him at his own game. That won't happen oscar isn't pea whitaker srl or hearns he can be outboxed.

That's a really close fight and extremely hard to call. Oscar at 140 looked amazing in his short stay there. Mayweather looked phenomenal at that weight as well and was a lot more offensively minded at that point. It would be a great fight. I see at as a 50/50 fight with the winner only taking it by a slight margin.

PBF won, no one disputes that.

However Oscar showed enough in that fight to make it clear that prime for prime he would beat Floyd.

I never considered prime Cotto being able to beat Floyd, but your right, maybe he has an argument as well.

Did you just describe Tito as faster and more skilful than Oscar?

The way I saw it wasn't so much about adjustment as Oscar fading down the stretch.

Personally I thought he lost to Tito because some of the early rounds the commentators were scoring for him him actually went to Tito. I think sometimes those commentating and the crowd give close rounds to the person they favour instead of what is actually playing out. The reason he failed to engage in the last 4 rounds with Tito is because he felt the power in Tito’s left hook and Tito put him under a lot of physical and psychological pressure all fight. I also agree that he deserved to lose to Sweet Pea Pernell Whitaker and Quartey while debateable I do give him credit for getting up off the floor and going for it in the last round. You make a great point about him losing the big fights in his career. I would go further and note how his performance level dipped in those big fights which is when the greats ones are supposed to rise to the occasion.

Please read properly I spoke about Oscar struggling at the elite level. I also made reference to guys better than him and those who had more skill and faster and him struggling. I gave some examples Including Tito who was Elite and better and more skilled not faster,Pacquiao and Mosley who we’re faster and more skillful etc.

No he does not and when they fought we saw whose hands were faster which was Floyd hands down, he was better, more skillful and accurate even being forced to fight at 154 pounds.

Well ODLH could not catch Floyd with a bag of rice not less a left hook. So overrated was ODLH.

The reason he faded perhaps had something to do with Floyd figuring him out.

Oscar might be a pretty boy, as fake as a plastic cake, a drug-fiend, and a sexual degenerate but he was a hell of a fighter in his prime and he arguably has the best resume of any fighter in the last 30 years. He pushed Floyd down to the wire when he was past his prime, had only fought once in almost three years, not at all in a whole year, and if not for sheer corruption raising its ugly head very well could've been 1-3 in his last 3 fights going into the Floyd fight.

Even Floyd personally admitted to me that he would never have been able to beat a prime Oscar.

What did Floyd do to tire Oscar out?
