Hahah Michael moorer would destroy him, you are not talking about the fraud kovalev here. Also Moorer was naturally a much bigger man, much bigger frame probably a natural cruiser or even a small hw, he was extremely drained at 175. Moorer by Ko
I don't think Kova was so much a fraud, maybe overrated and an alchy. AND STILL, he won that first fight.
Calling any world level boxer a fraud just exposes what a clueless never boxed bum pretend boxing fan the person is who said it.
He had a pretty good run for an older fighter... and he damn sure beat Ward the first time around. Not some without weaknesses and flaws but damn good and a stiff test, when healthy, for anyone the division has ever seen.
I am free to write my opinion just like an internet porky like you is free also of talking any nonsense hidden like a rat from home and you probably not only never trained boxing but any combat sport. (watching action films from the sofa eating doritos is not any training). Please...Get out of my view.
it wasn't Kovalev's fault but at one stage he was highly overrated you could see fantasy fights of him even against rocky marciano. and i disagree about ward, andre schooled him and said the last word in the last fight. Kova was a limited boxer who could punch hard, nothing more nothing less
Does not describe him? Basic like hell style with a punch,a limited guy. Canelo would have beaten any version of kovalev because he was the much better greater fighter just like ward.
Kovalev had a vicious jab and excellent, economical footwork. He lined up his 1-2 brilliantly and was a master at controlling range (he out-did Ward at it). His weaknesses were he was somewhat predictable, quick to decline and weak when fleshy, never that he couldn't box. He was certainly better technically than Moorer. And there's just no-way Ward beat Kov in that first fight. It was like 7-5 with a KD for Kovalev, on mine, and virtually every other card I've seen for that fight. If he was such a limited fighter, he'd have never been P4P top 3, unified champion and the best in his division.
Canelo would not even have fought a peak Kovalev. Just like his team avoided GGG when GGG was in his prime/
No, absolutely not. Lomachenko is predictable, do you think he's limited? Tyson was predictable, do you think he's limited? Canelo is predictable, do you think he's limited? I'm sure Moorer being out-boxed by Leslie Stewart proves this. How about when he was dropped by Martin? Or a coked up Bert Cooper? How about the split decisions vs Schultz and Bean? Do you just make things up as you go along or do you actually watch these guys?
Canelo from today would have beaten any version of kovalev, he never could have stopped Canelo and Saul was much more skilled fighter and faster
