Can I just add that Kid Galahad is a very, very good fighter and there would have been no shame in losing to him.

 

His very talented no doubts about it. That's why none of the other champions will choose him a voluntary. Imo he lost a very close fight and will b kicking himself. Wen/if he fights jw and sud get he the win it wudnt b a massive upset at all. He has every chance of becoming a world champion either against jw or someone else.

 

He was losing to domestic level Jazza Dickens before the late KO.

He got dropped by feather fisted old Jason Booth

His fight in a final eliminator against the bang average Toka Clary was a very close fight which he only just nicked.

He spoiled and grabbed and fouled all night long against Warrington. The referee did a terrible job.

He has no notable wins despite being a pro for over a decade and living like a monk for boxing. Unless you have low standards I don't know how you could refer to Galahad as a 'very, very good fighter'. He's just an ped cheat, awkward, boring, average Euro level fighter , who might make the top fighters look bad by spoiling but he could never beat them. He's like the featherweight version of Hughie Fury or Isaac Chilemba.

Jazza was ABA champ and was favourite against Barry 7 years ago before getting spectacularly KO'd.
Booth caught him off balance 8 years ago. One judge had Barry 11 points ahead.
Khan Clary was a highly decorated amateur and Golden Gloves champ. He was NABF champ when Barry went to Boston and beat him by 8 rounds on 2 judges cards.
Marrero is an ex WBA champion and retired after Barry battered him for 8 rounds.
Frampton gave up his Commonwealth and European belts when Barry became mandatory.
Warrington is the highest rated featherweight in the world and couldn't land a punch on Barry before being gifted a hometown decision.

 

He was decent in his last fight and decent against Warrington, in my opinion. On another night he could easily have been a World Champion.

 

Funny that he claimed he never had a offer off hearn. Now he was low balled. Changed his tune.

Watched Hearn mention Josh and Xu in a vid very recently. I think that Eddie will try make that fight before galahad.
