Kecthell has been a fav of mine for a long long time, then came the advent of You Tube and we got to see him fight ( Papke/Johnson ) oh dear, what a let down !!! he looked totally bereft of any boxing science what so ever, only threw punches one at a time ( usually out of distance ) lots of roundhouse swings, believe me, wish it wasn't so, but don,t think he beats even the likes of Tiger, Zale, on reflection prob have been better if I never saw him, sooo disappointing .
I actually think he looks pretty good on film tbh. I think his offensive arsenal is excellent, his power is unreal and his work rate is enough to pose anyone problems. His fight against papke shines him in a great light imo. I'dove to see him brawl it out with Golovkin.
I legitimately forgot to breathe for a second. Then I realised you were trolling, obviously. Then I checked youtube. Nope, still trolling. Hat-tip for the deadpan delivery
I understand your concerns, but to me the most important thing is that it worked for him. Have you seen longer version of Lang fight? We have full 10th round now, you can see some nuances in Fitzsimmons style (even though he was way past his prime by then). This content is protected
Yeah that Elusive Blue is a genius imo. As for Fitz, I just don't see him as a H2H force any more :-(
I understand that, but you have to keep in mind that Fitzsimmons beat basically all possible contenders from his era. There was no style Fitzsimmons faced and couldn't deal with (outside of monstrous physical advantage Jeffries had). He beat boxers like Hall, Corbett and O'Brien, he beat swarmers like Creedon and Sharkey, he beat counter punchers like Dempsey and Choynski, he beat sluggers like Maher and Ruhlin. It has to say something about his adaptability and ring IQ.
