Bob said that if Dillian try's pull his mandatory shot before Wilder 3 and Joshua he will ask the WBC to make Fury franchise champ. According to Bob, Whyte v Fury makes 'absolutely no sense' and If Bob has his way Dillian will be waiting a minimum of 18-24 months before he is back in contention again after waiting for 3 Wilder fights and potentially 2 Joshua fights! That means he would have been mandatory for 5 years. How much more can Whyte take and should he ditch the WBC? Surely Dillian should be looking at legal action now. If I was him I would be doing a Riddick Bowe with his 'Silver' and 'Interim' titles.

Watch below as Bob levels up on Dean Whyte directly about 'mandatory'. (poor audio)

To be honest I want to see Fury and Wilder v Joshua more than any other fights in the heavyweight division. If Whyte has to wait then he has to wait.

Dillian is a free agent now so Dean is effectively his promoter in between fights. He's making good money taking risky fights on Matchroom but at risk of blowing Jackpot, coming through against Povetkin is no certainty. If I was him I would try and sign a deal with Top Rank and keep it all in house. Plenty of average US heavy's for Whyte to feast on while he waits his turn.

Although only officially 'mandatory' until after Dillian beat Rivas he was ranked WBC number 1 after he beat Helenius in October 2017. Somehow Ortiz, Breazeale, and Fury managed to sneak in ahead of him.

Brezeale was Mando and thenother voluntary I believe. WBC hasn't been kind to Whyte purley due to his promotional affiliation imo.

He has turned down a few opportunities also and earns millions on PPV so it's hard to feel sorry for the lad.

He turned down £5 million for a fight that he probably would have won given the Joshua that turned up. I think Whyte would have demolished him and turned up in much better shape than Ruiz did for the rematch. He would have made a lot more.

What Bob is effectively saying is that Whyte will never get his shot as he will ask the WBC to make Fury 'Franchise' champ and Dillian 'regular' champ. He even goes on to say that "the people will know who the real champ is". They have no plans to fight Dillian.

It might boil down to whether Whyte can stay mandatory longer than Bob can stay alive.

A different Joshua would of turned up for Whyte though.

Bob might be desperate to get the AJ fight done because fury might look elsewhere once his contract is up.

Yes and he refused to fight Pulev in a mandatory fight for IBF. If he had he would be fighting Joshua next, with winner fighting Fury.
