Great fighter, just comes across like he thinks he had it tougher than everyone else coming up

That he was. Not only a excellent fighter but the entertainment side was big with him. He was the man they loved to hate, but at the Thompson rematch(I was there) all that had gone and they loved him, like he said " I had to take my beating"

He did. He had nothing. He had to take fights on a few hours notice against the fighters nobody else would face. Mickey Duff told him to get a job because he wasn't going to pay him enough to live on, Duff hadn't even seen him fight so that was obviously the way fighters were treated in general. That's why he spoke out so loudly for fighters rights.

Most fighters come from poor back grounds, he makes out he had no choice than to rob an sleep rough. What's wrong working an fighting ?? Most do it, Infact some champs have day jobs

He seemed ashamed of his little brother and barely acknowledged him. You could hear the pain in the little lads high pitched voice. I imagine that drove him to become better at boxing than his older brothers. Simon's twin Peter had already moved to Brighton under Jack Pook.

Wasn't he fourteen years old when he became homeless after escaping a children's care home after being beaten up by staff? He did have no choice...

Definitely not. His brothers talk to themselves on the streets on their own like schizophrenics, both very poorly men now.

Did it in those last three fights when his reflexes had slowed, knees had gone and eye was swollen. He'd already done it in the Watson rematch (when he gave up hope of winning, in the sixth, and adrenalin stopped) but public have short memories

Sad what's happened to his brothers, there are plenty of video's on youtube of these 'local characters' which I wont repost here. Chris Eubank is a strange man when it comes to his own family, I'm surprised Karen put up with him for so long and some of the anecdotes she's given over the years since have been both hilarious and troubling.

He had a hard fight with Watson, the Thompson ones for me he soaked up some heavy shots, where really he couldn't win but stayed in there

In New York escaping his old man Irving who was a drunkard womaniser gambler who beat her up a lot. She heard Chris was missing and in a gang and sent the ticket for the flight with her low wages and starved without heat or hot water for it

Irving didn't want Chris back at home with him in their tower block flat in Stoke Newington with no furniture and one small black and white TV with aerial
