He’s a successful actor. Being in some good stuff but is not a massive A list actor so he’s easily missed. But God Damn his looks speak for themselves.

He’s actually gay in real life. Nothing wrong with it but it’s wasted potential in my eyes because a guy like him would be pulling 11/10s left right and centre.

This isn’t relevant but Joe Rogan made a good joke once on his podcast. He said the only reason UFC guys get lucky on a night out is because Luke Rockhold didn’t get there first haha.

Call me crazy but a rematch wouldn't have been ridiculous.

 

This is really shocking to me.

It's so rare that a fighter leave boxing in the prime of their career. I guess his experience with the Stevenson aftermath and the beating at the hands of Beterbiev had him realize he doesn't want to risk his health anymore. And with 3 young kids, I can completely understand why.

 

I hope he has a happy retirement. I wanted to see a rematch but its more important for him to prioritize his family and his health.

 

When Groves put that guy in a coma it changed him, but we have to remember that the guy was not a piece of excrement.
I would have thought putting Stevenson in a coma could have inspired someone to even greater things. Hopefully one day Gvosdyk looks back and realises how awesome that was and is proud of himself. But that and the Beterbiev KO probably made him double down on getting out with faculties intact to look after his family.
