Hearn and whyte have a played a blinder here tbh, outwardly they are crying outrage-behind closed doors they are rubbing their hands together.whyte is in a great position provided he keeps winning of course.

He eventually had Hearn say 50 50 for the rematch but still wasnt enough

I fully understand moneys a priority in this business but i wish he would stop winging when the opportunity was there

He will be a rich guy but he royally messed up thinking the WBC route was better

I wasn't aware Hearn offered him 50-50 for the rematch I thought it was more like 70-30 in that case he should have taken it.

I’m not a huge Whyte fan but I think he’s deserved a shot but I also think he was mad to turn down that Joshua fight. When you get given an opportunity to fight for world titles and further boost your profile you take it , otherwise you don’t have too much to stand on. Ruiz done it and changed his life , Whyte was on a good run and should have done the same. Would he have beaten Joshua? I don’t think the same Joshua that turned up for Ruiz ever turns up like that for Dillian Whyte, just think of the tension in the first fight.

Originally it was something like 70 - 30 your right
Then spoke and got it to 50-50 but Whyte wanted the lions share

So the opportunity was there, if he confident in his ability to beat AJ he takes the first fight, wins and repeats in the rematch

He put business before legacy and thats ok

Just he needs to shut up now as he chose this WBC route even though they mugged him off even before todays mess

I keep on hearing how Whyte will fight anyone from the matchroom fanboys when it simply isn't the case. He ducked Pulev, AJ rematch and Luis Ortiz when the WBC first ordered it as an eliminator. Does he deserve a shot based on his resume? Yes, his resume is more impressive than most contenders, but lets not act like the guy is the victim Sky are painting him out to be.

I’d imagine they’ll do the first fight for undisputed then drop a couple of belts for the rematch. Only viable option bar the franchise bull****

50/50 split with Joshua are you having a laugh? There is no way on earth Whyte was offered a 50/50 split with Joshua!

Whyte would have made more over the two Joshua fights than he has made in his whole career. There was even a good chance he would have won the rematch and had a super fight with Wilder by now. In hindsight it was a shocking decision from him and Dean.

same as that, he has a better record than all the champs but he really is thick as pig **** refusing 5 mil for AJ then not wanting Pulev, a fighter he would spark..I actually think he does Joshua too, that just makes it even more ridiculous

Hearn said as much in an IFL interview
For the rematch, not the inital fight

So depends if you believe him
    He definitely said it though

WBC screwing over Whyte again. No surprise really. I cant think of fighter with anmore inpressive resume in boxing with getting a title shot than Whyte.

If Whyte is able to beat Povetkin (big if) I'd like to see him against the other tops guys in Hunter, Usyk, Ruiz or the winner of Joyce vs Dubois.
