Fury won't survive the second wave of the pandemic ...... let alone the bomb squad 's coronavirus vaccine.

Well, it would be great, but it's hard to believe -- particularly that Hearn would be okay with this, as this is a bad match-up for AJ.

    Don't unifications trump mandatories?

No it doesn't. In fact mandatories are why we very rarely have a unified champ. In the rare we instance we do eventually get a unified champ, it very rarely lasts because of mandatories. Just look at how quick the WBA/IBF was ready to strip Anthony Joshua earlier this year.

I wouldn`t step aside if I was Usyk, he`ll have a great chance of beating AJ.

Good news if true. It's a chance for both to create a strong legacy.

A unified champ is rare because most belts are scattered not collected by two people . If one guy has 4 belts it’s very easy to make undisputed unless you got guys like Wilder unfortunately around. Now he’s out of the way so the fight is easy to make ,Fury has a loophole around Whyte and Usyk will wait since he hasn’t even fought Chisora yet . The WBA and IBF were never close to stripping A.J both parties know what the order of A.J is ,neither would want that or they lose the money fight ,Usyk himself said he wanted a few more fights bf Joshua that’s why he fought Witherspoon.

I didn't know anyone seriously thought that Joshua was ducking Wilder. Wilder basically fought one maybe two top 10 fighters in his whole career. While i am not a big fan of Joshua, even the most of his mediocre opponents were better than the top fighters Wilder fought in his whole life (except Fury).

Fury will box and move, AJ will tire out. A Fury decision is the most likely outcome in my view.

Maybe getting ahead of themselves ...
I'm looking at Fury fighting a guy who's KD'd him twice before and can KO anyone... and AJ fighting a skilled and tough true HW in Pulev after just being KO'd by Ruiz and running scared in the rematch, possibly having lost something mentally ... so it seems to me there are two hurdles right there and if you combine both fights at least a 20-30% chance of somebody getting upset, maybe more.

Yeah, because it's Wilder's fault there are so few unified champs in all of history in all the weight classes, and why when there was a unified champ they couldn't stay unified for long. SMH.

The IBF was very close to stripping AJ because of Pulev. This essentially forced Eddies hand since the WBO was more forgiving, but this won't be the norm when there are 4 sanctioning bodies and each has a mandatory to enforce.

The only way we've had a unified champ in recent years was tournaments in which the sanctioning bodies worked together and their cut was determined before hand. That's not the case with heavyweights. There won't be an AJ Fury fight until those mandatories are met. This means if AJ beats Pulev and Usyk beats Chisora, Usyk can very well enforce his mandatory regardless of what Eddie claims to have agreed to.

Ruiz decking AJ likely focused a few minds, see the big money fight between AJ and Wilder that did not happen because they could not agree terms.

One punch could ruin a mega mega money bout with AJ and Fury, so the wise heads of the money men are coming to the fore, titles and legacy are mighty fine but a massive massive bank balance are finer.

Even the big gamblers know when to take the money rather than risk it.

Shouldn't Fury be focusing on the Wilder trilogy? Wilder will be determined for revenge and he still has that ability to end a fight with one punch. Fury is looking over confident and dismissive here
