Just stop with this already. Wilder fought Fury twice, and he knew fury was going to be in much better shape and have a better gameplan the second time around. He agreed to fight fury long before Joshua did and he did it when there was no belt for him to take from Fury. Give credit where credit is due

Unless Kinahan has got Whyte and Baby ting under his thumb then Fury gotta fight him next right?

WBC allowed Wilder to duck Whyte for ages. They'll allow Fury to pass him for a $100m fight.

Stop what, telling it like it is!

Wilder was locked into the 2nd Fury fight because he lost the 1st one, no matter what the judges said on the night! Anyone with an ounce of objectivity watched Fury outclass Wilder and win the fight on points, 2 flash knockdowns are not enough to overhaul 10 rounds of being outboxed. The draw verdict was a travesty and a complete embarrassment to boxing for the whole world to see.

But let’s go back to why they wanted that 1st fight,
Wilder wanted a credible name on his record and an obese, out of condition, ring rusty Fury coming off 3 years of substance abuse, alcoholism and psychological issues that brought him to suicidal thoughts was the perfect candidate. Or so Wilder & Co thought. They believed that beating a sick man with a good name could be spun into a great victory that would silence the Wilder critics once and for all, that’s all they were after. Unfortunately for them Fury had other ideas and embarrassed Wilder despite being only 50% of his former self on fight night.

That 1st fight left Wilder &Co with nowhere to go but a rematch, a rematch they didn’t want but couldn’t escape.
So there they were on fight night 2 where Wilder got rag dolled around by Fury, battered and pummelled into defeat after his corner threw in the towel to spare him further punishment.

What are they thinking with a 3rd fight?
Fury will destroy Wilder again so I can only imagine it’s one of two things
    1. It’s a cashout fight
    2. Wilder is in denial about how badly he got dismantled and thinks it was a fluke.

As for Wilder getting some credit for facing Fury, well no!
He thought Fury was done, finished, easy meat and a cherry pick
He was wrong and now he’s been exposed (twice) and about to have his career ended in a 3rd fight.

With regard to your point about Wilder fighting Fury before Joshua

Just when was Joshua meant to have the opportunity to fight Fury?
Joshua rose to prominence while Fury was in the midst of his 3 year booze & drugs binge.
So Fury was unavailable to fight during pretty much the whole of Joshua’s career apart from when AJ was cutting his teeth during his first half dozen fights.
So when did Joshua have the chance to fight Fury

This is in sharp contrast to Wilder who could have fought Fury long before Tyson went into his meltdown just as he could have fought Wladimir Klitschko and Joseph Parker for that matter.
So why didn’t Wilder fight Fury earlier
    Why didn’t Wilder fight Klitschko
    Why didn’t Wilder fight Parker
    Why didn’t Wilder fight Joshua

I think we all know the answer!

People are sure spending a lot of time talking about and running down Wilder in a thread that's supposed to be about Fury-Joshua. (LOL)

If Fury and Joshua meet for all the belts next year, that's great news.

If they meet, Fury will be the toughest opponent of Joshua's career by far. And Wilder will have already faced the toughest opponent of Joshua's career THREE TIMES before Anthony ever steps foot in the ring with him.

That tells you all you need to know about who has faced better opposition to date - Wilder or Joshua.

But we'll see if this fight ever takes place.

Wilder-Fury III is scheduled for this fall for the WORLD title. And one-legged Joshua still has to fight old man Pulev.

Let's hope we see one champ in 2021, no matter who it is.

This 'announcement' just seems like fluff, though. Nothing to get worked up over.

NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO TO THIS DAY, Wilder and Joshua agreed to meet twice, too. And that never happened, either. Hearn seems to make these announcements when Joshua has fights scheduled with no-hopers and Hearn can't generate any media coverage with that opponent.

I think Usyk needs another 1-2 fights at HW before taking on AJ or Fury. If I were him I would take the step aside money with the caveat to remain mandatory. Then fight 2 more times stepping up his comp each time. Then come 2022 be ready to challenge for the undisputed crown.

Interesting fight, Joshua will need to take it to him and score a KO. Fury should be the favourite though.

Hope it’s true, but seems there are still a fair amount of stumbling blocks for this one.

    Promising signs though!
