We can't remotely test it one way or the other. But someone brought up a good point earlier, if we admit that Rocky would beat Williams, then we may have to start thinking bad thoughts that he maybe, just maybe would have hung with Liston and that's a no no.

We should start a Cleveland Williams APPRECIATION thread sometimes. Naysayers and critics not permitted. The guy gets more undeserved heck than a lot of lesser fighters do.

Williams was also a 20 year old kid, green, untested having yet to fully develop and was a last second substitute but Mr. Catchwtboxing seems to have omitted this.
