Pretty clear that Floyd is a much better fighter than Oscar De La Hoya. He proved it in the ring at 154 pounds with Oscar having all the A-side advantages. Had they fought at 140 when Floyd was even better the eye test and logic tells us Floyd would have massacred Oscar. I know it hurts Oscar and his fans Floyd beat him in the ring, he also beat him outside the ring mentally, then to top it off he beat him as a promoter as well showing he was by far the better business man. Even the fighters stuck with Golden Boy as a promoter like Canelo and Ryan Garcia don’t like Oscar and who can blame them quite frankly. Who wants a coke head Bloke for a promoter who wears suspenders and stockings with high heels. The guy was so off his head he did not realize the fighters he thought were in his stable were actually with Floyd and Al Haymon. The smart Richard Schaefar made sure Golden Boy Promotions stayed relevant and got some of the gravy but immediately Oscar forced out Schaefar they all deserted Golden Boy. Big loser.

I mean who could win in theorotically is up to the conditions of the venue and ring and not up to the Mayweather or Oscar's performance or skills. Will prime Mayweather fight with at least three people on his side as usual (the referee and at least two judges) or will it be a fair fight?

Prime Oscar beats the IV bandit and at least drops him for the 2nd time in his career. Mayweather would have trouble with the speed and power of prime Oscar.

At 147 I'd favor Oscar (if it was the Oscar that fought Mosley and Quartey)
At 140 I'd favor Oscar slightly but wouldn't bet on it
    At 135 50/50

When they fought Floyd took away Oscar’s jab. Oscar could not beat an old Pernell Whitaker.

And all the while, he claims to be friends with Thomas Hauser?!! And Roger Mayweather... way I see it, people who try to name drop like this are doing it in an effort to make themselves look more "In" w/ the real peopl ein the boxing world. Olu's a child w/ way too much hero worship...

I'd lean towards a prime ODH.

He took it away when they fought and oscar's stamina has always been suspect. Oscar doesn't rise to the occasion he loses more than he wins big fights. Pbf always rises and beat him clearly when they fought. Pbf is the better more complete fighter and already beat him h2h yet somehow oscar beats him??? When he's never beat anyone on pbfs level. Logic is no where to be found here, wishful thinking 101.

Of course you do. You think pac beat pbf lmfaio! If a prime oscar beats pbf he damn sure schools any version of pac:deal:

You think Mayweather created the milky way. And no, prime ODH does not school any version of Pac.

Pacquiao is a far better boxer than both actually.

Lmfao! Pac couldn't even clearly beat jmm in 4 fights and pbf embarrassed him. Yet you want to say pac is a better boxer than pbf. You continue to outdo yourself. A prime Oscar would school pac.

Well if we are going on common opponents.

Pac finished Hatton inside 2 rounds. It took Mayweather 10 rounds to stop Hatton.

Pac destroyed Cotto and stopped him late on. Cotto gave Mayweather a competitive fight.

Pac destroyed and stopped Oscar. Mayweather barely beat ODH on the judges cards.

Pac had no trouble with Mosley. Mayweather was stunned by Mosley and almost got knocked down.

This constant reimagining of their first bout continues to blow my mind. 80% of the punches Oscar "landed" on Floyd were either on Floyd's shoulders or gloves, and the ones that did manage to get through had zero steam on them. Oscar had every advantage that night and couldn't do anything with it. Floyd was clearly a class above I don't care when it happens Mayweather is just flat out better than Delahoya even if he wasn't your cup of tea
