 To be fair they both share the same christian name, both English, both train out of the same gym, and they only campaign one division apart from each other. Some fans confuse Josh Taylor and Josh Kelly with each other and that irks me a little too.

Oh @Olu G. Rotimi, I was only baiting you before. I think Floyd would be a hard fight for Duran. However, I am confident in thinking Duran would beat Floyd.

I think Duran's footwork is better, but Floyd's feet are faster. Meaning that Duran would have trouble closing the ring off but would still do it, effectively. Floyd liked to jab to the body on the early rounds and I can see Duran capitalising on this by slapping Floyd's jab on the inside, and making Floyd slip a right hand, then Duran would exploit the opening to PBFs ribs. After 4/5 rounds of body work like that, Floyd ain't gonna have faster feet... I reckon Duran slows him down, and out-works him, and imposes his style on Floyd. Duran UD12 or 15.

I don't think it'd be one-sided though, Duran's feinting lead is gonna be heaven for Floyd's pull-counter and I think Durán's gonna have reddened face from some super, sharp lead rights. Not to mention, it's Floyd... no-one's having an easy time with him.

    That's just wrong... *shudders*

Yeah, I can see where you made the mistake, but let's be honest... one is Scouse... it's not that hard to tell them apart.

Yeah, I don't confuse them for each other. Like I said, I'm just tired. But some fans seem to which is unforgivable even though they do share the same trainer and Christian name. They're nothing alike.

Floyd is technically even more skillful than Leonard who fought the wrong fight against Duran the first time but this was down to Duran imposing his will and personality on the fight and yes Duran is extremely skillful and technical. I am not saying Duran does not win but neither am I saying Floyd does not win. Floyd has a powerful will and he will stick rigorously to what he needs to do to win. I cannot see him fighting the way Leonard fought in the first fight against Duran.

Having been ringside for Floyd’s fights I can tell you his feet are excellent. He is a great athlete but what is really outstanding about him is his technical ability aligned with his ring IQ. Yes you can definitely say the same thing about Duran who I describe as the ultimate Latino fighting man with a difference in that he does not want to be hit hence has an excellent Defence.

    Debatable.
Wrong, he was hurt BAD in the 2nd and tried to escape, he just failed. Badly.
Best ever IMO. I wrote this a few months ago. http://boxeomundial.com/why-roberto-duran-is-the-best-fighter-ever/
Nor can I, Leonard's style lent itself more to trading with people, coz he had killer power and super fast hands, with a granite chin. Floyd doesn't have the option of brawling, since it's not his style. He isn't comfortable with that, so I see him trying to out-box Duran at first, but only succeeding in surviving to the end.

No I do think Floyd is better technically than Leonard. Leonard is as athletic possibly maybe even more than Floyd or equal not much in it either way.

Roberto is definitely in the argument for best ever. Floyd can brawl if he wants to but his style is based first on Defence as he is an outstanding defensive fighter With an awesome offense whilst Duran is an offensive machine with brilliant Defence.

Ali was the GREATEST of all time. They tried everything to take him down even banning him for over 3 years purely for political reasons. He was never the same when he came back but was STILL way ahead of anyone else

Ali should have retired after the third Frazier fight He was obviously a sick man. I'd have thought George would have had a little more class that to try to demean a FIGHTER!!! like Arturo Gatti.
If Mayweather had 10% of the balls & sheer guts Gatti had maybe you could call him a fighter not a ballet dancing diva

Do you call Duran's "win" over Ken Buchanan a LEGITIMATE win ??? That punch was deliberate & blatantly low seconds after the bell to end the round. That was disgusting. They dragged ref Johnny LoBianco & made him watch a recording He STILL claimed the punch was before the bell & a legitimate body blow & walked out. I guess Buchannan laying in agony in hospital overnight his family jewels swollen up & packed with ice was the result of a legitimate body blow huh???????? Duran would never give Ken a rematch he knew better

Dont know if it was a low blow or not nobody knows for sure you make it look like Duran needed that to save him from defeat when Duran was winning the fight by a large margin and would win it anyway as for the rematch maybe Ken deserved one but he would get beat again cause as good as he was he couldnt **** with Duran.

Yeah, actually I do. You don't play games with Duran. Especially the one who was straight off the Panamanian streets in the 60s. That's what Buchanan did when he hit Duran after the bell. What did he think was gonna happen?
