Baer didn't have half the chin and power that Tua did. Much more cagey though.

Janitor has this weird fixation that power alone won't win you fights. Which it won't, but he seems to revert to that line of thought any time a power puncher is brought up, regardless of whatever other factors are being discussed.

I think if you could stay away from Tua and kept your wits about you then you were in with a chance. Aside from one or two times, Tua really sucked against out-boxers, though he had that sleeping elephant quality of suddenly exploding with something out of the blue and knocking you loopy. It's why I'd give someone like Max Schmeling a better chance to beat him than say Marciano, even though Marciano was, in most H2H senses, a superior fighter.

There is no fighter who had twice as much powet as Baer. Max arguably hit harder than Tua.

I can't speak for him, but some posters have the idea that power + chin + weight = greatness.

    It is not that simple.

    Yes, he is.

Tua has a fairly good, but not a stellar record, in which his biggest fights are lost.

I think Tua's ledger reflects his competitive spirit, whilst belying his limitations.

Overrated? Underrated if anything. He would destroy marciano and Dempsey and would be a dangerous fight for Louis

No, of course it's not that simple... don't you think, Gudetama is aware of this?

Let's focus on what he actually did in the real world.
