Some of the heavyweights from past decades ago, could beat some of the modern day fellas?
We have posts on here saying no older heavy could compete, too
small, out weighed. But Haye proved that wasn't an obstacle in the way to him winning and beating Valuev.
Does this ring true with anyone?

You're an experienced boxing fan and you know the answer exactly...
Otherwise i think Haye with a better chin would beat Valuev easier but his questionable punching resistance
    frustrated him.

Valuev was bigger and slower than modern super heavies, he couldn`t move or slip shots as quick as Fury does, also Haye used excessive movement in that borefest.

Exactly as I see it. It's one of those fights imo that proves, that an old time very good heavyweight, perhaps even giving up weight and height, if applied good sound boxing techniques, could beat his opponent.
Not sure how much height and weight advantage Valuev held over Haye, but it did nothing much for him in the long run.

But if the smaller man uses excessive movements against a bigger guy and has confidence in him self, is it bound to be a one sided fight Iyo mark?

It wasn`t a convincing performance, it was less impressive than AJ beating Ruiz in their rematch.

But regarding the size weight difference, he beat him completely and never looked like he was in trouble. So question is, could a smaller guy from another Era, be brought forward, have all modern day advantages in training and bulk up slightly, and then beat a champ who's of the heavier eras?
