Some of Colin Jones's are scary.
Tony Sibson ruining the iron chinned Alan Minter is primal.
Kostas Petrou wasn't known as a single punch banger but his KO of Dave Douglas is worth a watch.
    Froch v Groves. Goodnight.

The Robinson-Fullmer and Hearns-Duran KOs stand out as the two greatest. The Hearns KO was more spectacular but the Robinson KO was literally one punch and Fullmer was as durable as they come. Nothing like that ever happened to him before or after. That's how I rank a great KO. Duran was never flattened by anyone else, either. That's my favourite great KO.

A small shout for Jamie Moore's KO of Matthew Macklin - not a great KO on the level of some of the other mentions because it was a domestic level clash not two ATGs... but it was as perfect a way to end an already great fight that I can think of right now. Just a classic one shot KO.

My biased mention - Fitz KO over Corbett. Murderous body punch.

There was something beautiful, almost surreal in Robinson's ko of Graziano...it was accomplished in an almost matter of fact way...effortlessly. the right hand equivalent of SRR's left hand ko of Fullmer. Sheer poetry it was.
I'll echo Valdez's right handed bombing of Briscoe..as impressive and awesome however many times I look at it as when I first saw it live back in '74...and it's the reason why Valdez would have splattered Thomas Hearns, and numerous other great middles of the past IMO. If only if it weren't for his misfortune of being in the same era as Monzon.

Roy Jr’s one-punch body shot KO of Virgil Hill is a thing of absolute beauty.

As Hearns-Duran as already been mentioned, I'll add Hearns-Cuevas. Tommy looked close to unbeatable that night and he was facing a murderous KO artist in his own right.
Foster's knockouts of Tiger and Rondon deserve mention alongside Quarry. I kind of think of them as their own trilogy.
    Liston-Patterson (either one)
    Hamed-Bungu
    Arguello-Ganigan (my favourite Alexis knockout)

Some I think are pretty great that I haven’t seen listed yet. Not in a historical sense mind you, just fun knockouts.

    Lewis - Rahman 1 and 2
    Frazier - Ellis 1
    Ruddock - Dokes
    Ruddock - Smith
    Hearns - Cuevas
    Hearns - Shuler
    Derrick Jefferson - Maurice Harris
    Tyson - Botha
    Tyson - Frazier
    Tyson - Tillman
    Foreman - Cooney
    Foreman - Moorer
Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams 2
    Vincent Pettway - Simon Brown
    Witherspoon - Eklund
    Roy Jones - Art Serwano
    Holyfield vs Rodriguez
    Pinklon Thomas - Mike Weaver
    Tua - Wilson & Ruiz
    Sam Peter - Jeremy Williams

I was trying to stay with guys being completely flat lined or damn near.

Good list there. Pettway-Brown was just spooky and a little disturbing.

Agree. I’m glad Brown got up and recovered, had he not I’d feel differently. That fight is very underrated, both down and Pettway hurt when he delivered the KO punch.

Is this limited to boxing? If not, then Henderson - Bisping was probably the most brutal KO since Hearns slept Duran.

Also Nigel Benn's short counter overarm right on Dan Sherry, turning his knuckles down his jaw.

Alexis Arguello's ko of Kevin Rooney was brutal.
