One of the most successful amateur boxers of all time, 396 wins 1 loss, consecutive gold medals and 14 professional wins with only 1 loss.

Where would you place Vasyl Lomachenko as of right now on the greatest boxers of all time list? I know its a bit early and he still has plenty of fights to add to his resume.

He could beat everyone at 140, 135 and 130 and he'd barely crack the top 100.

I used to watch him around the same time of year, kicking someone's ass. It is now common practice that he really is neo from the matrix, albeit I haven't watch his recent fights. He has to rank up there because he shuts down everyone.

Some people.say he will never throw his healed shoulder with confidence anymore, I don't know if this is true but I witnessed him take it for a test drive/ rehabbing it.

Just like every great injury, it takes a while to come back.

There`s no way there has been 100 boxers P4P that could have beat Loma.

That's not what P4P is, though.

I selected outside the top 40. He just doesn't have the resume to get any higher.

And before I get lambasted and ridiculed, I am a big fan of Lomachenko

Unless you have an intimate knowledge of who everyone beat in the ams it's essentially a completely pointless thing to bring up when discussing a pro boxers career. Counting wins is completely ridiculous when you don't know anything about who his opposition was

Very difficult question. Do you include his amateur career? I'd prefer to wait until his career is over.

The story is only half-way finished.

Over the next two years he has a chance to put himself in the top 25 that ever lived. Surreal to think.

A win over Teofimo Lopez to unify every title at Lightweight is an amazing accomplishment. The size disadvantage will be massive. History will recognize that Lopez was the biggest puncher in boxing at the time. This alone firmly plants Loma in the top 40 on top of what he's already achieved as a professional and amateur.

Can he land Davis or Haney? Would be huge for the resume but I think it's very unlikely. I think Davis wants 0.0% of Loma. He's learned too much from Floyd. He'll call Loma out in 4 years (at 147 or whatever Tank's fat ass is at in 2025).

Haney on the other hand actually wants the fight. He knows 135 is a struggle so he has to fight Loma soon. Problem is will Hearn let him fight off of DAZN? Go to ESPN and possibly be schooled horribly? If Haney indeed beats Luke Campbell this fall it could set up nicely vs Loma in the winter. Another problem is Arum may never, ever allow Haney to share the big stage on ESPN with Loma because he's still bitter Haney didn't sight with TopRank.

I think after he's unifies 135 vs Lopez (and once the Haney and Davis fights cannot be finalized) we'll see Loma drop to 130lbs and take out Jamel Herring, Miguel Berchelt or Gary Russell Jr. I dunno what order those 3 fights come in but I think we see them all. None of difficult to make and it's all pretty logical.

Of course the final chapter of the story is shaping up to be 34-35yr old Loma vs 24 yr old Shakur Stevenson. Maybe we'll be treated to some crazy catch weight fight / money fight against Monster Inoue but that won't be as impressive as the above victories.

    Top 25.
