I like Tarver. Hearns is the better overall fighter but not at 175 in my opinion. Tarver was a big strong and durable fighter at 175 that was solid defensively.
Tommy Hearns can't handle Tarver's power. Sometime in the middle rounds Tarver nails Tommy and stops him.
Tarver would knock him out really badly, but might be slightly ddwn on the cards or about even when the punch lands.
For Tarver? How so? Tommy's best weapon as he moved up in weight was his jab. Tarver was excellent at taking that punch away from conventional fighters. That is why I picked him to beat Hopkins which I was wrong on the outcome but right on the reason. Hopkins only landed 7 jabs against Tarver that night. Of course he more than made up for it in other ways LOL. I just don't see a way for Hears in this one. Aside from his excellent defensive, Tarver had a great chin that stood up to everyone he fought in a long amauter and pro career. No one ever knocked him out which does not bode well for Tommy's right hand getting it done.
Tarver KO 5 Hearns never beat a southpaw and especially not a big light heavyweight version that is 6'2
tarver would box Hearns. this would be a jabbing contest.Antonio is not the aggressive type of fighter like Barkley or Hagler.I am not saying Tommy stops him, it would be a points win
