How could they? No US promoter showed any interest in signing Calzaghe. Showtime had a deal to show Sports Network fights, Warren's fighters. They didn't have a deal with Calzaghe, they weren't interested.

Warren lost the purse bid, so he had to go to Germany for Veit II or lose his title, and all of UK, US and German TV rejected it! I think it was on Eurosport or something

He fought 6/7 times whilst Joe was with Showtime.

    Showtime were not dead.

    You are talking nonsense.

    Yes, they did.

Warren dealt with King on many occasions.

They were extremely interested in Joe. But they lost interest when he pulled out of a few fights and he wouldn’t fight in the U.S.

He also got off to a horrible start by giving 2 poor performances against Thornberry and Starie.

The BS call outs of Roy was when he’d beaten Sheika and Veit.

Yeah, but he was too good to be fighting a rematch with a guy who he’d already beaten in a round a few years earlier.

    What a waste of time.

And? He only fought about once a year anyway. We forgot he was even an active boxer til he fought Evans Ashira with one hand on ITV4 (failing to sell-out Cardiff Ice Rink). He was a no-name in the UK let alone the US

Didn't fight Thornberry on Showtime, it was Starie and McIntyre on the Tyson undercards as delayed highlights after Mike fought

Then Woodhall, Brewer and Mitchell fights

Nobody was interested in Showtime anymore. HBO was the place to be at that time

The worst of the awful Calzaghe showings was probably against Kabary Salem on Sky Sports 3

    What am I lying about?

Mike Tyson fought on Showtime about 7 times whilst they had an interest in Joe.

Stop trying to paint a picture where they were dead.

    They weren’t.

Along with HBO, they were a huge network.

No he didn't, Sports Network's reaffiliation with Showtime hence showing one of Warren's fighters Joe was the Tyson UK debut, Joe's fight not shown live. After that he fought 2-3 times against Lennox, Danny and in Denmark

When Tyson fought McBride wasn't Calzaghe already a HBO fighter following Lacy performance
