It's amazing people give Wilder almost no chance, as though he couldn't land on Lewis before Lewis lands his own bomb. Wilder has a very good chance of landing first and finishing the fight, regardless of whether or not his overall skillset is better or worse. Wilder is faster than Lewis, probably rangier. He only needs one clean hit. Could Lewis dodge the amount of punches Fury does? Highly doubt it. I'd consider this a coin flip and either getting KO'd wouldn't surprise me.
Fury nullified Wilder with the jab and we all know that Lewis had one of the best jabs ever, it'd be a total mismatch.
Fury changed his routine for the last Wilder fight going with a kronk gym trainer/training. He destroyed wilder. What possibly makes anyone think that Lewis who trained under Manny Steward himself would somehow accomplish less? Styles make fights. Lennox Lewis by skull explosion, round 2. P.S. This is the umteenth one of these threads in which everyone consistently says Lewis by KO.
I’m shocked people even ask questions like this Wilder has fought 1 world class opponent once (when he was match fit) what happened?
How can a fighter who lacks boxing fundamentals create troubles or even win against one of the most talented fighters ever? Ok, in general Lewis loved to handle his opponents rather than attack and finish them early...risking a bit sometimes. But this wasnt the rule for Lennox. Im sure with Wilder he would press him since the 1st round and knock him out within maximum three rounds.
Lewis destroys Wilder inside 2 minutes of round 1 with the first 2 minutes being filled by Wilder getting rag dolled and hammered until the right cross puts his lights out!
If history has taught us anything, It's that Lennox could be got with a big, straight right hand. All Wilder has is a straight as a lance, lightning fast thunderous right hand so, on the face of it, we have a live one here. Having said that, Lennox only really ha to move to his own right which will open Wilder up to the jab through the middle. Wilder will have to throw his big shot while turning and he just doesn't have the talent to do that . Wilder is going to throw his right off balance, falling in behind it and get sparked by a counter left hook or uppercut, early. Lewis in 4 but if Wilder lands...... !
Get ready for a whole new batch of absurd excuses from Wilder. "Err...uh...I could say some things...but I'm not ready...err...everyone could see..."
