Not champion but contender . So if you think Brian London would have beaten a prime Tyson then that's valid since he wasn't a champion.

There isn't one. You can't even include Ibeabuchi in the list, not that I'd pick him. You can only maybe think Shavers or Cleveland Williams gets lucky. Or maybe Wills or Elmer Ray pulls it off, despite boxing clearly been way better in the 80s than the 20s or 40s. Who else is there? Quarry? Lyle? Valdes? Archie Moore? Langford? Machen? Folley?

I don't think any exist. I believe the following men beat Tyson: Liston, Foreman, Holmes, Ali, Holyfield, and Louis. I'd ever so slightly favor Joe Frazier on the caveat that he could easily be blown out in the early going but I tend to think his durability and heart would get him through more times than not. Undecided about Lewis. I would give Dempsey a very viable 40% chance. Since, all of these men were champions, I think my answer is "none".

Lyle, Williams, Quarry, and Machen are excellent picks to pull off an upset.

Does Sonny Liston in the late 50s count?

    Hmm
    Quarry
    Bonavena
    Chuvalo
Have the best chance imo but unlikely to happen. Need someone who has a solid chin can fight inside Or out with enough power to keep him honest.

No because he became undisputed champion. But a fighter like Bert Whitehurst would count.

Then no-one. Everyone good enough to beat Tyson was good enough to become champion.

They may have a chance. But I noticed that you forgot to put Tom McNeely or Roy Harris or Billy Miske on that list.

Perhaps ibeauchi and Tua though both are seriously overrated here. I wouldn't make any of them favorites or even give them a particularly good chance.

Maybe the era they were in was so stacked they just couldn't get to that top spot.

Well then they'd have to have lost to someone. Someone who isn't Mike Tyson.

Plus the two best H2H HW contenders IMO came in the 90s (Tua and Ike), and then 3&4 were Quarry and Wills.
