It's been over 10 years since I did the survey series here on the original 8 weight classes, and I was considering doing a new one along the same lines - except, I'm looking for participants who are ALL IN, who would be willing to contribute their complete lists in one swoop. Trying to avoid the diminishing returns as we move southward.

Would anyone be interested in participating in something like this?

I'd basically need a Top X list from every participant for each of the original 8 weight classes.
EDIT - I'm not sure yet. I may just do HW and/or P4P, but if I choose that route, X will be a higher number than in the alternate scenario.

NOTE - I am NOT looking for anyone's list at this time. Just trying to see if anyone out there would be interested in participating.

If you are interested, please let me know here. And if you're not interested, please kindly discard and do NOT reply. Appreciated.

Cool. I'm assuming @Saintpat is also interested, although I have edited what I was originally gunning at, and not sure he saw the amended edit.

I'm leaning towards the alternative the more I think about this logistically. Where I ask for just 2 lists - HW and P4P where I'll ask for larger lists than I was originally thinking.

My plan, if I stick with the alternative, is to not share the weighted scoring system (except with maybe @McGrain so everyone knows I'm not making this up after the fact). My goal here is to not participate, and without the scoring system being known to all, to release the initial results in a reveal as a 2-part video series.

    Anyone else interested? @McGrain @George Crowcroft @reznick @janitor @mcvey @Mendoza @NoNeck @Richard M Murrieta @Italian Stallion @mr. magoo @salsanchezfan @robert ungurean @Dubblechin @IntentionalButt

(By NO MEANS limited to those names, just throwing some names out that jumped to mind of posters I thought might potentially be interested in participating.)

I'm all over this like Duran was all over Davey Moore.

Although I don't think my H2H only criteria suffices in this kind of enterprise so I'll have to shake it up a bit.

I take it we're starting top to bottom? HWs then the rest? When's this show getting on the road?

Two big factors here on whether I can participate:

    1) how deep will these lists be (as in top 10, top 100, etc.) whether it be the original eight divisions or HW/P4P?

    2) how quick do you want a turnaround?

I don’t have pre-made lists/rankings laying around. It would require a lot of thought to do it and try to get it right. A top 10, that’s doable. Top 20, probably although at the lighter weights I’d need to do a lot more research. Top 50 or 100? Not sure I can help you.

But regardless of whether I sign up or not, I applaud the project and look forward to seeing the finished result.
