Miguel Cotto fought everyone in their prime and he was clean the entire time. He deserves more!

Stylistically, my favourite fighter. That left hook to the floating rib and head was a thing of beauty.

Have mixed feelings about him. Yes he did fight everyone I guess but he became such a diva in the later years and also think he’s a bit overrated. To each his own but not my favorite fighter. Will say though that him giving Mayweather his toughest fight was kind of cool I guess.

I can't believe multiple posters - even reputable ones - believe Hatton would have beaten or in the words of a few, "destroyed" Cotto at 140.

If anyone pays attention to anything I say on here, they know Cotto is probably my favorite modern-esque fighter other than Chad Dawson. (excluding Roy, Toney, Nunn, Hagler, Winky etc...). Although I'm very highly critical of him and Dawson, probably because I paid more attention to them than anyone else.

A first ballot HOF'er and one of the best ever from Puerto Rico. I'd personally have him as an ATG but objectively I don't think he's one.

The sometimes diva behavior aside, Cotto was overall a great and..........

The only people saying that are Golovkin fans. A bunch of mentally incapable losers.

Cotto is a great fighter who fought everyone worth fighting, no one sane can deny that.

Agreed. People just think about the end-stages of his career when he went all-out on catchweights for middleweight fights and gave that big pause when Kellerman asked him about fighting GGG (who gets more respect for some reason, despite a resume that falls well short of Miguel). He had a 13 year period where he competed at the highest levels of the sport. People should respect what he gave of himself, especially now that you can see in recent interviews that his speech is getting a bit slurred and mushed.

I like cotto. Props to the man
But I wish he would have fought Marquez to put a lustrous end on both of their careers.
what a glorious fight it would have been!
