True but not every fighter says outlandish things. When Floyd said what he said about Cotto being undefeated it didn't really seem all that outlandish at the time. I mean imagine how Cotto fans must have reacted to Floyd saying that, many even some neutrals probably agreed with what Floyd said at the time even though they might not admit it now.

I consider Floyd 1-1 vs Castillo, had Charlo (e) edging Harrison too, but drawing with Trout and losing to Martirosyan. His brother Jermall lost to Korobov imo.

But think about what you're suggesting. So what would have happened had Canelo never fought Mayweather? Then Canelo would never have had to fight at 155 since he would still have his 154 belt that he never would have lost to Mayweather whilst drained.

I thought about this after seing the topic about if Lacy never fought Calzaghe. Obviously Lacy suffered a much worse beating vs Calzaghe than Canelo did vs Mayweather, but you have to say what would have happened to Canelo's career if he hadn't fought Mayweather. If what you're saying is true then Canelo would never have been known as a weight bully if it wasn't for his experience with Mayweather. This gets to the core of the issue that many people criticize Canelo for, and in my mind unfairly. It's based primarly on perception of what happened to him Mayweather, but somehow Mayweather avoids being discredited for him doing it to Canelo while Canelo gets criticized for doing much less bad examples of that. It doesn't add up.

I don't consider Canelo undefeated because I saw him lose to Floyd Mayweather.

To be blunt, I saw him lose to GGG as well, but I digress.

He did get called out for it, at the time, years ago.

But most people didn't care that much because it was a good fight between two good fighters.

But to reiterate, no one took Mayweather seriously when he said Cotto was unbeaten, no one.

How can any fan class him as undefeated?
Check his record it clearly states a loss, yes unbelievable a loss to TBE Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Suck it up fanboys Clenelo didn't only lose he got schooled and if Money May decided to return he could still beat Clenelo now, there are levels to this game. TBE for a reason.

Reason’s primary strengths are justifying beliefs we already believe in and making arguments to convince others. While this kind of reasoning helps us cooperate in a social environment, it does not make us particularly good at truth-seeking. It also makes us fall prey to a number of cognitive biases, like confirmation bias, or the tendency to search for information that confirms what we already believe.

It's absolutely true. Clenelo and Marquez fans aligned themselves with Floyd for some strange reason. Two massive turds like @IsaL and @22JM are prime examples. Both love calling Pac a drug cheat when there's FAR more circumstantial evidence pointing to PED use by Marquez and Floyd. Yet, it's never a point of discussion in their unending attacks on Pac. And of course, Clenelo got clipped.

    They also hate Lomachenko, too.

According to lance i guess pbf is the only fighter in history to say outlandish things to promote a fight. Stop!
