Usyk has only had one fight in the heavyweight division and I don’t think he is ready for big fights yet. What do you think?

Usyk should never have stepped aside for Pulev/accepted the Chisora fight. He could end up waiting forever like Whyte.

    Good for Usyk.
AJ and Hearn appear to love pulling BS to avoid certain fighters. Now that AJ has been exposed somewhat by Ruiz, the games will become even more farcical.
The latest is AJs knee in trying to get out of the Pulev fight.
He has the belts fight the mandos. Wlad did for nearly a decade.

    Agree completely.

AJ Is In It for the money. He knows he will never beat Fury and Usyk and those 2 will rule the Div. He wants his 70 mil and whatever happens after doesnt matter to him.

I hope Usyk gets his chance and smashes AJ to bits.

Joshua could have taken Pulev out of the picture but he opted for Miller in the U.S. That's on him.
Unless there's something I'm missing, which I may well could be.

We've had Wilder opt for Ortiz and Fury multiple times, and now Joshua opting for Fury twice.
I'm quite happy with dropping the belts if they are going to do those kinds of multi fight scenarios.

Usyk hasn’t exactly done much in the division yet to be talking about a title challenge

A simple way to solve all this garbage is to have no step asides allowed, just unifications overriding mandatories. Then if you don't take your shot, you lose your place. If you don't fight the mandatory you lose the belt. It would also mean more fights because if you have to fight mandatories you might make sure you fight more regularly.

Even the light the punchers like Usyk and Pulev are not scared of the bodybuilder anymore. Eddie Hearn 's golden goose has truly been cooked. Expect another upset in the making when Joshua is KOed by a feeble jab!

Many boxers get title shots without doing anything except beating up very low level opposition. I would take Oleksandr Usyk's credentials over such no-hopers any day.

ofcourse but I believe fighters need to stamp there authoritie in the division before they call out champs and he hasn’t done that yet

Your missing the fact Pulev pulled out
I wish he hadn't as this mediocre title fight would have been ancient history now

    Whichever fight is good.

I think Usyk - Whyte, fury - Joshua, winners face off.

Usyk vs Fury could be interesting.

I'm usually in favor of the policy many organizations have of allowing one of their champs from a lower division to move up and immediately fight for a title in a higher division.

    It's a courtesy. A sign of respect.

Had Usyk gone from unifying the cruiserweight belts several years ago to a fight with Joshua, it probably would've been epic.

That's not what happened here, though.

Usyk hasn't been cruiserweight champ for nearly TWO YEARS. He's had one heavyweight fight in YEARS against a journeyman.

Usyk is no longer the champ of anything.

At this point, Usyk is an average heavyweight with a high rating who hasn't proven anything at the weight.

This has gone from an org allowing one of their champs "the courtesy" of fighting a champ in higher division ... to just a BAD ranking situation where Usyk is rated higher at the weight than he remotely should be.

Usyk shouldn't be dictating anything to Joshua.

And now Joshua might get stripped if he doesn't fight him? That makes ZERO sense.

He’s not trying to get out the Pulev fight. What has he got to fear? Pulev is second in every department to Joshua except maybe jab. Povetkin, Ruiz, Klitschko, Whyte and Parker were all bigger risks and he fought all them...
