Outside of the top guys in the division - Spence, Crawford, Pacquaio, Thurman, Porter, there is still a bit of life left in the division. Both Broner and Ortiz once were exciting prospects expected to take the welterweight division by storm but came up short. Whilst I dont think they could challenge at the top level I do think both guys would have a lot to prove and it would be a competitive match up, maybe even the winner could match up with one of the other well known fringe contenders in the division like Khan or Brook.

Its a 50/50 fight. Ortiz as he is an extremly aggressive fighter with power in both hands and I don't think Broner throws enough punches to stave off the attack. But theres a good chance we could also see a Broner knockout too, as Ortiz does leave himself open and has quit many times in the past.

I'd take Victor by decision. Broner throws less punches every fight

This fight could have been really fun or not but if watch.

It could have happened throughout the years but watch it happen in 2024 or some random year. Or Bam Bam Rios vs Ortiz in 2023. I hate it when fights are some what of a decade past there sell by date but this is boxing I guess

You know ,,if they fought I'd watch. Hoping Ortiz ko's him, but knowing both fighters a lackluster decision is probable

After Broners last 2 or 3 fights id prefer never to see him again

Turns up to get paid and lacks any ambition at this stage

Ortiz gets hit flush and instantly has flashbacks of Marcos Maidana beating him like a drum. His heart isn't in it anymore. He has in ring PTSD. Broner by tko.

Ortiz 'should' be able to KO Broner. Broner's more gun shy than cops dealing with a white criminal.

Not at WW. Ortiz is a proven puncher there.

You haven’t been to a live Broner fight. His power is real.

It’s the reason why he catches breaks in close fights. You can feel his power from the audience.

I have and it was nonexistent as was his work rate. He receives favorable decisions due to his ability to generate revenue that is the only reason.

I dont believe you. He hits harder than Berto in person.

The guy dropped Porter. His punch output above 135 is undeniably trash though.

Broner has what, one knock out win over 135? Take that plus the four punches he will throw a round for a total punch output that would not burn off the calories in a tic tac and I’d say Ortiz.
