Gonna get preparing my rankings for this one. I wonder if @BitPlayerVesti is interested. His insight into the past is always very well thought-out and comes from one of the most well informed guys I've spoken too.

It's a good point but I'm sticking to judging guys who competed at their best in the original 8. Any tweeners are theoretically eligible for the top p4p 25 though.

P4P? Yes. Bantam and Feather? No.

    At least, that's my approach...

I've pulled my finger out and ordered my P4P list, and I've gone over a few divisional lists.

Do we need to give explanation, or do we just give a list and answer questions?

Traditionally we just post our lists, have a bit of back and forth and Rummy tabulates a forum average and then posts it later.

It's been a while since I've seen the "Duran vs Leonard P4P ranking" debate play out so I look forward to it.

Yeah, I personally found that to be a very educational exercise, and I too believe it acts as a good starting point, even for the higher weights. Surprised me that guys like Zora Folley did so well here, and in a lot of cases, I think it's easy to identify certain names that either seem out of place being too high, or names that seem way to low (because of lacking longevity in most cases).

I think you basically answered it perfectly. A guy like Pryor doesn't really belong on a Top 15 for 147. So unfortunately, boxers who made their mark in the ******* divisions will miss out on that. But, as you pointed out, someone like Pryor could technically be considered for the Top 25.

Please do feel free to give shout outs to anyone and everyone who regularly posts in the Classic Section that might be interested. I was just randomly throwing out names off the top of my head, and I know I forgot a lot of quality posters.

I'll post the 'official' Survey thread sometime within the next 24 hours, depending on how long my Bowe render takes.
