DEADLINE The deadline will be AUGUST 3, 2020 - at 1:00am EST. THE SURVEY Basically, I need a Top 15 for each of the Original 8 weight classes, and a Top 25 All Time list. 9 lists in total. You can alter your list and edit as often as you want up until the deadline. I ask that everyone uses the SAMPLE FORMAT TEMPLATE in the next post. I would like everyone's list laid out exactly like the SAMPLE. Please include first and last names throughout (it will be tremendously helpful). NO TIES! And submissions should be numbered in order, as illustrated in the SAMPLE. When the deadline arrives, I'm going to temporarily hide this thread until after the final reveal. My plan is to do the reveals as quick short videos initially. So I will begin with Flyweight, and work my way north to Heavyweight, and the 9th edition will be the All Time List. When I release the 10th and final video in the series (which will be a more in-depth piece where I provide some commentary regarding all 9 lists, and play around with them in some different ways). After the final video, I'll un-hide this thread. SCORING So the scoring system is a "secret" (at least until the first reveal). I've only shared it with @McGrain at this point. And that's NOT to give him any type of unfair advantage. It's just that I've known him longer than anyone else here, and I want people to know I'm not making up the scoring system on the fly - there is a plan in place. Part of the reason I'd prefer not sharing it is so that it's a bit of a 'surprise' when I show the final tallies. This is also why I intend to hide the thread when the poll closes. Now, that won't stop anyone from taking screenshots and jumping the gun, but I hope - in the name of fun, that doesn't happen. So I won't be keeping running tallies or anything like that. All I will say is that the scoring is weighted and it's designed to create separation. A #1 vote is by far the most valuable for points. The GAP between a #1 and a #2 is the largest gap. The gaps will begin decreasing as you move down (but not ALWAYS - ie - the gap may not decrease again until a few spots down). I've thought about a scoring system very carefully, and while this is unlike anything I've ever used in any previous surveys (boxing and non-boxing alike), I think it is a good way to produce "value" where a #1 pick will be well differentiated from a #5, which itself will be well removed from a #10, etc. NOTE - The scoring system for Top 25 is a little different than the Top 15 lists, but it's in the same ballpark, just breaks down differently because of the extra 10 placements, but that is by design. The maximum number of points is identical in both lists. REVEALS At the deadline, I will close the thread and begin tabulating Flyweights, and try and do a reveal every few days (hoping to do at least 2 a week initially, barring work obligations that disrupt any would be rhythm/momentum). Any incomplete lists at the time of the deadline will be omitted, and the most recent EDIT will be the one that counts. Every username that participates in the Survey will be listed in the end-credits of each of the 9 video reveals, and also the 10th and final summary video. I'm imagining these will be underway in August, and hopefully finished no later than late September (although, frankly, I already know of a busy work period I have during that duration, so worst case, everything on my end should be complete by early October). I only ask that everyone follows the SAMPLE TEMPLATE so I can easily find the relevant posts I need for my final tabulations. I mean, as long as it's numbered sequentially, I'm not going to DQ it. But honestly, if it's not too much trouble, I'd ideally prefer things exactly like @Jel and @lufcrazy posted it, as it will help me find a better rhythm tabulating everything. And - I ABSOLUTELY prefer partial lists to be laid out exactly like @Webbiano began his list.
