Ernie Schaaf, Walter Neusel and Lem Franklin. Just about every other decent fighter has been mentioned. Wait, maybe Luther McCarty and Clarence Henry.

Langford and Wills have to be the top 2.

Others not named (alphabet, not lineal):
    1. Boytsov
    2. Damiani (WBO wasn't recognized as major until early 2000s)
    3. Zolkin (WBO only pre 2000s)
    4. Jeremy Williams (WBO only pre 2000s)
    5. Etienne
    6. Mitch Green
    7. Tarver
    8. Banks
    9. Cunningham
    10. Perez

Eddie Machen fought Ernie Terrell for the vacant WBA World Heavyweight Title on March 5 1965, after the WBA stripped that title because Muhammad Ali gave Liston a rematch. Terrell won by decision.

Eddie Machen did get a shot at the WBA Title on March 5 1965, fighting Ernie Terrell, because the WBA had stripped Muhammad Ali of that title for giving Liston a rematch, Ernie Terrell won on points and the WBA Title, he lost it to Ali on Feb 6 1967.

Ruddock and Ibeabuchi spring to mind. I really would have liked to see how Ike got dealt with by someone along the lines of Lennox Lewis or Holyfield.

Ronny, amazingly enough, Lucien Rodriguez actually did fight for the title in one of the most one-sided beatdowns in the history of the game against Larry Holmes.

Joe Alexander, Nick Wells, Terry Krueger, "Scrap Iron" Johnson, Billy Joiner, Jack O'Halloran and Rahman Ali (Muhammad Ali's brother) were ranked? When? By whom?

    What? Huh?

    (Scratches head.)

let me read it to you again, -Heavyweights who were either ranked or never got a shot at the title.

Billy Joiner was ranked by the WBA in 1969 for upset of Robert Cleroux, cost him a sure shot at Jimmy Ellis.

I sure forgot about that fight, say what you boxing fans want about my friend Giant Jack O'Halloran. I'd rather seen him in there with ALI or Frazier, Holmes, then say Stander, Daniels, Zyglewicz, Ramos, Bugner, Lubbers, Dunn, Blin, Evangelista, Zanon, LeDoux, Leroy Jones, Evangelista, London, Coopmans or Wepner.

I'd rather seen another friend Mike Quarry in their with Ali than Coopmans

You are correct. Me, for whatever reason always get Lucien Rodriguez mixed up with Alfredo Evangelista.
