The Holyfield who beat Douglas vs Golota from Bowe/Golota 1. How does this go?

That was one of the two best nights of Golota's career, but few fighters beat a prime Holyfield, least of all Golota. Holyfield eats some bombs inside but otherwise boxes Golota's socks off. Holy TKO 10.

I agree. But it is a good fight with good exchanges.

oh definitely. Holyfield was rarely ever in a dull fight in his prime, neither was Golota really. Good fight, tho i think it would become one-sided at one point and would stay that way a few rounds b4 the stoppage

One of the mentally toughest fighters of all time versus THE mentally weakest fighter of all time.

Hmmmmm... I wonder how this is gonna play out...

Holyfield takes Golota s heaviest shots and keeps firing back. By the eight round, Golota s getting drilled. Holyfield stops him in 10.

Golota was a hyper-aggressive, all action swarmer who started all of his offensive-work with the jab. He had a pretty damn good jab, too. His apex, vs Bowe, showed he could punch a bit, cut the ring off well, and go to the body (and below) viciously. Although in Golota's career you can see a weak-ish chin, a very up-and-down heart and someone who just couldn't pull things together for an elite win.

Holyfield is possibly the most complete HW ever (with Louis and Holmes) and was as tough as they come. If Golota fouled him, he'd foul back and since Golota's defence was so weak, Holyfield's counters would get in well.

A tall swarmer, and a guy who's only weakness was brawling with people? Yeah, I'd have liked to see this one. Holyfield has very underrated power, and Golota's chin was highly questionable, so an early stoppage isn't out of the question, but if there isn't one, this is a great ****ing fight. One Holyfield definitely wins.

Let's see here, in 1967 Mercer was six. Ya, he probably would KO Ali in 2.

I think Jack Johnson KOs Ali in '67 as well, and probably Frank Sinatra as well.
