I understand the point of view however Mickey is simply not on John's level. He is currently in the running for a Tyson mega fight so why would he jeopardise this by fighting Mickey Theo? Let the Tyson negotiations run their course and then John might come and feast on Mickey.

It's a shame there is no footage available, the Akinwande card must have been televised somewhere as it was on the under card of Pat Barrett vs Racheed Lawal and the Michael Murray fight was the chief support on Paul Hodgkinson v Marcos Villasana (WBC world feather) the latter of which is on Youtube and was a big event. Footage must be sat somewhere on a dusty VHS.

It is a charitable event in the ring mate - Theo wants it and John does not. Excuse after excuse and people have Big John down as a shytehouse until he fights Theo in the ring.
Imagine if Fury had said to Wilder, “nah mate I don’t want to fight you in the ring for the title. But I’m not scared. If you come to my yard or Billy Joe Saunders’ yard we can fight there.”
