Pac in his prime had elite power, speed, stamina/workrate and chin. He wasn't GOAT level at any of them, but came pretty damn close in workrate. It's rare for any fighter to be elite in just one of those categories. To be elite in all 4 is basically impossible and unheard of.
Yeah, even in his early, younger days, even during his Blow by Blow days. Though his physical strength is not on par with those attributes.
Probably not quite on par, but at Welterweight he would often get bullied or thrown around the ring a little bit. But that's to be expected when you give up that much natural size.
Not really. These all had them: Leonard Duran Spinks Charles Moore Harada Robinson Walker Steele Ike Williams Canzoneri Arguello Napoles Toney Cervantes Ceferino Garcia Chocolatito And to prove its not just ATGs, guys like El Finito, Inoue, Lopez and Mosley have these too. It's hardly 'unheard of' to be elite in all four catagories.
Leonard didn't have elite power. Good power, but not elite. Arguello was slow. Chocolatito not that fast for a flyweight. Mosley couldn't even dent DLH. Toney never had elite stamina or speed.
Never had that level of speed and wasn't among the hardest punchers at 160. Pac had 3 ATG's in his weight class and had more power, speed and stamina than any of them in any category.
Leonard KOed two ATGs, has a higher KO percentage than Pacquiao and has multiple brutal KOs. He definitely had elite power. Arguello was slow? Maybe compared to Whitaker or Taylor, but he was definitely not slow. Chocolatito's hands were very fast at 108. His combinations were like liquid. Aside from B-Hop, who was almost a LHW in the ring, who ever dented De La Hoya? Toney definitely had both of those. If anything, you want to say he had didn't have elite power. Toney's hand speed was excellent. Watch his fights with Barkley, Williams, McCallum, Jirov ect; when he was in shape, he had bags of stamina.
If he had elite power he would have gotten chinny Hearns out earlier and his punches would have had more effect on a smaller man in Duran. Arguello had lead feet. If you have elite power you hurt guys with elite chins. See Pac doubling over Morales multiple times even in the 1st fight when he wasn't drained yet.
Kirk, I believe you are trying to add gravitas to your opinion by changing the colour of your text. I have tried this method before and virtually no one took me seriously. Pacquiao has no jab, no right hand, no lateral movement, and almost no singing talent. He's an incredible actor though; let's leave it at that.
Fairest dinkum I've ever seen out of a moderator here, man. Do we still have the deal emoticon? :deal
