Why are boxing fans so much more forgiving of peds than loaded gloves?

Loaded gloves are just a thousand times worse. I don't think it's comparable at all.

 

Name all the loaded glove cases

 

Because every fighter is on PEDs. Every pro athlete is on PEDs.

You make a good point though, PEDs probably do more for a fighter than loaded gloves. With PED's you can train harder you can train more and with that better training comes better skills, better power, better stamina, etc.

If I was a hypothetical full natty fighter and you gave me the choice of fighting (all else equal) a guy who has been juicing for his entire life, or another guy who never juiced but was using loaded gloves, I'd take my chances with the loaded gloves. The PED fighter will be better at everything than. I'd have no hope of beating him. The loaded gloves guy will only have harder punches.

In the real world though, that guy with the loaded gloves is also on PEDs.

 

Both can be the cause of life changing or fatal injuries. I view them as pretty much the same. The only difference is that there is a chance that a Boxer can take PED's and not know it. That is not the cade with doctored gloves or hand wrapping.

 

Loaded gloves is way worse. Loaded gloves can kill someone.

Put it this way two fighters facing each and one superior in skills than the opponent on peds. The fighter on peds may be fitter than usual but he could still very much lose to the fight to the better fighter.

You put a superior fighter in vs an opponent with loaded gloves and I say the weaker fighter has a much better chance than winning with loaded gloves than if he was on peds.

Being hit with loaded gloves makes a huge difference.

You ask yourself even if Miller wasnt caught would he have beaten AJ using peds? I think Miller loses that fight no matter what.

 

It's a case of it being relative to the person's experiences.

People know what gloves are like so people know what it would be like to be punched with tempered gloves.

They've never been hit by, so dont know the difference between, a fully juiced up professional boxer as opposed to a normal one.

 

Loaded gloves for me, something about much more dishonourable and a foreign object, I’m aware of foreign fluids being bad also

 

While loaded gloves are worse, PED cheating is MUCH me rampant in boxing. How many loaded glove stories has there been the last 20 years? 1? 2?
