When did wilder all of a sudden become an atg? Was it when he signed to fight fury? Because all i heard that he was a bum and hype job now all of a sudden he's a better win than canelo cotto pac chico jmm jlc and oscar??? How does that work?
He looked like **** against Jennings, he did nothing afterwards, and he was 40 years old. He was past prime, it's not up for debate.
I never said he was an ATG. His Beyonce Fanboys alluded that. To me he was just a glorified puncher. Barely had a Plan B, no back-up skill set, surrounded by Yes-Man and Shylocks who rinsed him and gave him poor financial advice.
Im a wilder fan i never thought he was an atg or even hof level his best win was ortiz. He is a exciting fighter because of his power but he's limited. He in no shape or form is better than jmm pac canelo oscar chico hatton cotto or jlc. Anyone who suggest that furys 2 best wins are better than pbfs best 2 can't be taken seriously for real boxing debate and that can't be refuted.
The unabashed hypocrisy is literally jaw dropping. Fury has a win over a 40 year old who he had a size/reach advantage over and fought one of the most inactive fights of the last decade. His next best win is a guy again older than fury who can hardly even box who he had a 50+ lb weight advantage over. Meanwhile people discredit Floyd's wins over cotto, canelo, Pacquiao, Delahoya, and Hatton because of either their age or size while all of these guys are close in age and walk around heavier than floyd. You literally cannot make this stuff up
Floyd may have beaten 2 current top 10 P4P fighters, but just like a lot of Floyd's wins, those wins come with asterisks. Pacquiao was past it and had already been knocked out cold when Floyd finally fought him, and Canelo was weight-drained.
I thought you were smarter than this and have long held you in high esteem. However, are you seriously suggesting that Fury's TWO best wins trump Floyd's achievements?
Fury's win against Wlad doesn't come with an asterisk? In one of the most boring heavyweight title fights in history, he scraped through in a close fight against a gunshy 40 year old man. Seems like a bit of an asterisk to me. Don't even act like Floyd hasn't got a dozen better wins than Deontay Wilder.
Its mind boggling isn't it? Wlad wasnt past it even though he's almost 10 years older than Fury and had been knocked out cold several times in his carrer. Meanwhile Pac was younger than Floyd #2 p4p in the world at the time and had only been ko'd once and he's past it. You can't make this **** up
And that's without even comparing what both of them did after their respective fights. Can't fix stupid.
Exactly. Also calling Canelo weight drained for volunteering a 2 pound catchweight while furys 70 pound weight advantage against the 209 pound Wilder the first fight is not mentioned at all. Glorious
