We got to see with our own eyes how much of a wrecking machine Freddie could be at HW, and that was when he was a 35 year old retiree. Now imagine a 2000 Freddie Flintoff, who was batting 135 not out, and bowling at an incredible 90mph, wrecking the heavyweight division. It goes without saying that he would've KOd all of todays paper champs, but how would he have fared against the Smoking Joe from the first Ali fight? I know what you're thinking "Freddie's gonna knock him out in the first round.", but I honestly think theres more to it than that. Call me crazy but I think Fraziers low ducking head movement could keep him alive until the mid rounds. Thoughts?
Ridiculous question. Frazier wouldnt even get in the ring with him, Flintoff would have scared him too badly
It's a good point that I failed to raise. I think it's silly to believe Frazier wouldn't be terrified of a man who can bowl at 90mph, the potential of that overhand right would leave him with many sleepless nights.
Freddie has more chance of beating Joe than Wilt does of beating Ali. More people know Freddie as well.
