Where has that time gone !?
I remember getting up at 2 or 3 am to watch his fights.
Just the memory of basic black shorts & boots, no robe, as he paved his way to the ring will live forever.

Mike is probably gonna spend his birthday re-reading Nietzsche whilst sniffing coke and KOing hookers.

    Happy birthday Mike!

There was a time where I was concerned Mike was heading for an ugly end. The 2000's were not kind to him. The loss to Lewis, the two humiliating losses to Williams & McBride, a ****-poor settlement from Don King, getting clobbered by the IRS, the death of his daughter, and multiple arrests.

I'm so happy that the guy seems to be in a good place now. When you hear him talk you can definitely tell the guy has been through some very hard times. It's apparent he has some deep emotional scars. But he seems to have buried a lot of his grudges and emerged a better man. Weirdly enough, when I listen to him I hear echos of Muhammad Ali after his final retirement: weary but wise.
